Offseason ShoppingSon Of Man 01-30-2011, 08:44 PM Bruce Allen, "Fool me once shame on you....." TheSmurfs22 01-30-2011, 09:08 PM Just say "No" Allen and Snyder. IrMitchell 01-30-2011, 09:10 PM Lol guys don't worry. It's more likely the Redskins sign Peyton Manning than make a trade for another Eagles QB. SkinzWin 01-30-2011, 09:11 PM Thanks whoever changed the thread title!!! Dirtbag59 01-30-2011, 09:12 PM I don't know if I can change the title of this thread but if one of the moderators can I think it should be changed to "Offseason Shopping". Just found this link on ESPN. Source: Titans want Vince Young Trade (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6073922) I keep on hearing how Al Davis is smitten with the prospect of adding Young to the Raidahs. Personally he seems like he'd be a great fit in Minnesota especially if they work in a lot of bootleg play action. That same strategy allowed Dunn and Ducket to run wild while Vick was in Atlanta despite the fact that Vick was a terrible passer at the time. Giving Peterson more room to run can only be a good thing, at least from Minnesota's perspective. diehardskin2982 01-31-2011, 09:51 AM Champ Bailey back in DC anybody? New regiem maybe posible... I think he'll be cheaper than Namdi and would complement the core group if we can't resign Carlos. irish 01-31-2011, 10:12 AM The Eagles will regret keeping Vick over Kolb. Vick will never take them beyond where they went this year. IMO, they should have tried to move Vick as his stock will never be higher than it is now, tryfuhl 01-31-2011, 10:17 AM Vick is a free agent, can't really move him unless they NBA style extend then trade him. I wouldn't be surprised if his shelf life of the success that he saw for most of this year is somewhat short but who knows. skinsfan69 01-31-2011, 11:23 AM The Eagles will regret keeping Vick over Kolb. It was his first year starting and look how good he was. He gets a full off season ( if there is one) of camps and so forth, to work on his game. I'd expect him to get better. He can be as good as he wants, if he keeps his nose clean. Jontrem 01-31-2011, 11:35 AM Totally disagree. It was his first year starting and look how good he was. I think there is a reverse side to that coin though. For 3 years no defense in the NFL had to face a player like Vick (Young wasn't/isnt as talented as Vick is) but won't teams eventually start to "figure out" or remember how to defend him more efficiently again? Looking at his stats from the beginning to the end of the year (excluding the game against us of course) there was a drop off in performance, not a huge one but certainly a noticeable drop off. |
