I don't get that whole shitty beer is trendy deal.
A local tavern near me that has a lot of great stuff on tap recently tweeted that they now have Genny Cream Ale. I'm like really? Why?
Never really understood that myself. Add Pearl and Lone Star to that list..............

It's not trendy, it's cheap and it gets the job just the same. And it's probably more cost effective.
Speaking of beer, has anyone notice that beer prices have gone way up? A year a go a pint of beer at my local tap house cost $5.5, now it's $6.5...WTF?

if its good beer, could be the price of hops. thats the explaination i gotta a couple years ago. Over the last 5 years its gotten crazy expensive...here's an article from your neck of da woods several years ago...
For drinkers of craft beer, prices may soon be hopping (http://www.seattlepi.com/business/335704_hops17.html)

I have a bigger problem with Miller Lite and Bubweiser then I do with the real cheap stuff like Natural Light or PBR. At least Natty and PBR are inexpensive so you are getting what you pay for, but Bud and Miller make a beer that IMO is no better yet they charge a lot more for it. IMO all the mass produced American beer is piss. But I would sooner by Natty Lite for 10 a case before wasting 17 or 18 on Mller Lite when another 5 or 6 bucks could get me Sam Adams or something on that level.

I personally thought Hasselbeck's comment about Cromartie was hilarious. AC is such a knucklehead as he infamously proved to everyone on Hard Knocks.
Threatening to smash someone's face in on twitter? Not a very good example to set for your three 4-year olds. LOL.

Hasselbeck shouldn't pick a fight with someone he can't whoop, talking shit over the internet, trying to be hard, sounds like a lot of you internet warriors on here,...... bad asses on the computer bahaha, internet tough guys

Yeah too many dopes out there with no filter
Perhaps the league may decide to adopt a system similar to what some colleges use to serve as the filter of which you speak.

Maybe its partly because of taxes levied on brewers.

Also I think that cheap beer is awesome. I like a lot of different kinds of beer but theres a certain place in my heart for cheap beer and i completely agree with you (my cheap beer of choice is Busch Light). But there is some trendiness involved too. Richmond has TONS of hipsters/emos/scensters/indies and they love their PBR like no ones business. I have a couple friends that work for Loveland distributor (miller products) and im pretty sure Richmond sells more PBR then any other city, it might be per capita, not sure. Partly because its cheap, but more so because its real trendy with the hipster crowd.
