Give up that kind of dough yea right.

Money talks and BS walks! Make your next move son!

Jake Plummer walked. Doesn't happen often - - but it does happen once in a while.

Didn't John Elway have one more year on his contract after he won his 2nd Super Bowl and announced his retirement? Cannot recall...

Is he really going to potentially give up $50M though?

Matty:

Probably not.

Same situation applies here in DC. Donovan McNabb can ask for/demand a trade. He too can threaten to retire. But in the end, he knows that if he is on the roster at the beginning of next season he gets $10M for the season.

McNabb will not retire - - even if he threatens to do so.

I've been a Palmer fan for a while, even though post injury he's been pretty inconsistent I think he's still got the chance to be decent for a couple of years. That being said, I don't see a good scenario to bring him in. He's not mobile enough for our system and there's no picks I would be willing to part with to bring him in.

That's what they said about McNabb. Just do everyone a favor and walk away now. It's not worth it....

No trading as of now:

I wouldn't want him here. He has not been the same since that injury. Besides, we tried Jesse Palmer at QB and how'd that work out? :D

Hmm, think Donovan or Albert would look good in tiger stripes?

Carson Palmer wants Cincinnati Bengals to trade him or he may retire, sources say - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6051119)

Some of you posters are easily influenced, aren't you? Palmer is no better than Rex Grossman! What is Palmer crying about now? Don't ever say that Cutler is a cry baby, Palmer takes that distinction from Cutler.

Palmer sees his efforts going down the drain and wants out so he can go elsewhere and cry some more. Leave this guy alone and let him feel sorry for himself.

Well McNabb and Palmer would not be successful in a team like ours. However, they could have a lot of success in a team that has everything in place, except for the QB position (i.e. Arizona, Minny, maybe Miami). There is a big difference between a QB like that being successful in the right situation, and having any type of success in a rebuilding team like ours. QBs like Palmer and McNabb won't succeed in places where there is no offensive line, no true #1 WR, a questionable running game, and a newly implemented defense.

So you think Bradford and Tebow ran similar offenses?

Didn't say that, Sam Passed much more and had more 5 wide sets.. Tim used his legs obviously and Fla ran the option..As for the spread offense, get used to it because most college teams run it now... Both Tim and Sam have bright futures in the NFL imo.

I do not care about carson Palmer's stats. I saw Carson play two games this season and looked weak. I don't want another older Qb. Especially one that says publicly, 'I have enough money to retire right now.' That is not the message I want to hear from my Qb. The Redskins really need to stay away from older expensive players, including some that are on our roster. Please, we need to get younger.
Our FO and fans need to stay grounded with facts, we were 4-12 in 2009 and 6-10 in 2010. We are not one or two players away from being a Superbowl team.
Do you really think Carson Palmer would leave the losing in Cincy to come here? Carson will leave Cincy to go to Minnesota, Seattle or Dallas. Teams that really are a few players away from being a playoff team or at least (in the case of Dallas) have some great weapons on offense and defense.
