I think it's time to finally let go of the love affair that redskins and fans have for other teams' players. Let's stop this and concentrate on primarily building through the draft and picking up undervalued and underrated free agents. It's time to start building the team the right way with relying on talent evaluators and the coaches to develop the players' skills once they get on the team.
X2...i doubt we'll make a play for palmer.

Id think CP for DM would be fair- both QB's are ailing to the their coaching. Marvin Lewis hasn't been able to balance his locker room and win so DM would bring new life to theirs just as CP would bring intelligence to ours. Lets sign the trade now.

so what. how dows that translate to the pro game? newton has alex smith and vince young written all over him. can you name one spread QB that has made it in the NFL? i can't.Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, Kyle Orton all made it; Colt McCoy and Tebow had strong rookie years; a lot of people are high on Bradford.
Spread QBs can make it, Newton's bigger issue is the system he played in wasn't a particularly standard spread system. It was closer to Urban Meyer's system than Bob Stoops' pro spread.

Apparently Palmer is trying to force a decision on the Bengals' OC. What that decision is, I don't know

I feel bad for the state of Ohio. It was bad enough that Lebron went through with "The Decision." Now 6 months later Carson Palmer is going through with his own diva act with this trade or retire fiasco.
Still I heard that people are so pissed that they're doing drive by trash dumps on Palmers lawn.

At least they aren't in full on riot mode burning Palmer jerseys in the streets like they did when Bron Bron left.

Bress, Bradford and Ben R. played in 4 and 5 wr sets were the emphasis was throwing the ball downfield, not the type of spread that Florida, Aurburn and Texas run....where the QB is running just as much as he's passing. McCoy didn't play in a true forward pass type of offense. The jury is still out of Tebow and McCoy. Both guys have only played in a handful of games.
I remember watching Heath Shuler in college and he played in the same kind of offense that McCoy did and that's who McCoy reminds me of.

Ohio will be fine without Palmer... Head west young man. The Bengals will just play his kid brother. OSU basketball isn't bad either.
