I would love to have palmer but not at the price of high draft picks and I doubt cinci will want anything other then draft picks if they traded him.Well, Cincinnati was the team that didn't want to trade Chad for a first and third round offer from us.

If they want a high price for Palmer, that's their prerogative. He's theirs through 2013. I don't think the Bengals have very much around him. But perhaps they can hold out for a team willing to trade a lot for him to make a SB run.

No way in hell would I want Palmer. Old and washed up

I don't want to give up the draft picks it will take to bring in Palmer, but he's far from old and washed up. He just turned 31 less than a month ago.

Basically agree, though I don't know what they would want

He's done dude heck he's already talking retirement. They won't take anything less than a 3rd for him and that's too high

I dont like the angle of "threatin retirement", think that is kinda weak and I question his love of the game. I heard he wanted to play on the west coast which is not good for us, but I would still make a pitch for this guy as long as it doenst involve a 1 or 2nd. Haynesworth might be an option to go.

I was all for bringin in McNabb and would be for Carson...I think both are pretty equal in ability, with McNabb it wasnt a system fit, if Shanny thinks its a better fit with Carson, pull the trigger. I think its better than over paying and taking any of those garbage projects at 10 in the draft or seeing Grossman fail next year.

Those arguments don't work in your favor. Plenty of people have won Heismans and national championships in college football and haven't amounted to ish in the NFL.

heisman means zero.....he a decent prospect but a project. This is the 10th pick...not late first round. I expect to get a player who is ready to start and contribute. Cam needs to sit the bench at least a year maybe more and seriously study and learn to read coverages. In the NFL dont go under center before the snap and then look to the side line for the coachs to change the play because you cant read coverages. Cam is like Tebow, half his game in college was running the ball, take that away what do you have? I just dont like him at 10

Well his body of work in college this year has been impressive, but he has one year of college football experience and while he has been impressive throwing and running, he needs a lot more work before he's ready to be a quarterback at the NFL level. He could easily be a bust if he just comes in and assumes his natural talent will let him succeed at the NFL level.
