JC probably was made a scapegoat, but he had his chances here.I dont blame him for what he said. The skins obviously dont know how to handle qbs{Snyder era}Nor do they know how to put together a competent O-line with quality depth, which has hindered the success of Campbell and other QBs here, especially after injuries to Samuels, Jansen, and Randy Thomas became recurring events. Drafting Trent Williams was a positive first step, but the jury's still out on the Jamaal Brown acquisition, and hopefully Shanahan addresses the interior of the O-line this offseason.

If you're not accurate you're not accurate.. if you can't progress in your reads well... it want entirely his fault but he's no Manning

Not really a big deal. I would think that any QB that gets let go would feel that way.

i wish the guy nothing but the best cause he's a stand up high character guy. i really like jason campbell. was he treated like shit? probably. but to be honest that's life as an nfl starting qb and if you've got thin skin then it's probably not the job for you. hell drew brees was basically run out of san diego and made the most of his new opportunity. campbell has never really never grabbed the bull by the horns here or in oakland. serviceable nfl starter. nothing more, nothing less.

So what is his excuse for his play in Oakland? Oh and his reasoning for being benched there? was he the scape goat there also?

Maybe he just needs to go to a team that won't use him as a scape goat, like Buffalo. Clearly they would respect him and his talent enough not to use him as the reason for their horrid play.

But if he wants a championship ring or SB ring he might have to settle for the fact he's not as good as he thought and settle for being a back up in order to get it.

I think he got benched cause Cable simply prefers Gradkowski. He had a solid year.

If Snyder gave me a few million bucks he could treat me like shit every day.

I don't see anything wrong with his statements. He was the scapegoat. The team had a circus organization, decimated with injuries, had a poor receiving core, had no feature running back, and one of the worse offensive lines in the league, yet he was expected to take them to the playoffs. Unrealistic. I said it then and I'm saying it again, Campbell was not the problem. He needed a better supporting cast. Getting McNabb was a waste. Campbell would have done the same job and that third round draft pick could have been used on a position player that could help the team in the long run. Now the Skins have to rebuild at quarterback, all over again.

Exactly. And there was a 2nd rounder in there as well. Terrible awful trade.

The headline, of course, is misleading because Campbell didn't blast the Redskins.

What I thought he did do, in a very indirect way, was come off as very, very critical of Dan Snyder and the way Snyder personally treated him. But I don't think he said anything about the Redskins outside of 1) things didn't go well, and 2) the team subsequently got rid of him.

Hue Jackson is the one that wanted Gradkowski starting.

Campbell should admit that he was given the keys to the castle and took it for granted. This guy is quite a salesman when it comes to marketing himself. Thank God he is gone and I wish him well with his new team.

Just wonder what his new coach will do with him after they go after yet another cast-off QB. Of course we can't say anything better because what we have here needs to be improved on.

But, at least Grossman can read defenses better than Campbell or McNabb can and gets rid of the ball quicker than they ever will.
