Well theres the problem. Yes, other teams know that we don't want this guy. So, we can't expect a high return for him. Do i know what that's going to be? No. There's got to be some leverage though. That's why I'm not a GM. Maybe we take a 5th and be happy about it. Maybe a 6th or 7th? Maybe no one offers us anything and we just cut him...
I'm just saying AH is a great player (when he wants to be). He might be worth a 4th rounder for the Lions. It's possible.
Agreed. It's possible and maybe not too far removed from reality. On the other hand, I think the Titans were offering a third during last year's draft when we turned them down. In light of the events siince then, I am supposing that his value has been significantly downgraded by other teams.

Didn't have the heart to give this its own thread so here it is:

Could be serious or just a last ditch attempt to contain some kind of value and interest in AH.

Trade Shanahan to Detroit for Jim Schwartz. Promote Haslett to HC, install Schwartz as DC.

He can handle Haynesworth. Haslett did OK as HC with the Rams. Then, we could scrap Haslett's schemes for Schwartz'.
The only problem left...what to do with Kyle?
Will have to be a package deal. Let the offense call their own plays, then McNabb won't have to study. If Rex is the man...chuck it every play.
Heck, Haslett took the Florida Tuckers to the 2009 championship game. He's a winner.
