But clearly we need an upgrade at receiver, none of them are elite. Even though Santana Moss had 93 receptions for 1115 yards and 6 touchdowns, clearly he's not a #1 wideout. And even though Anthony Armstrong had almost 900 yards receiving on 40+ receptions while being stuck behind Old Man Galloway for the early part of the season, clearly he's not #2 wideout material. Who needs consistency when you can have playmakers?

I actually feel good about our WR group, can't remember the last time I said that. Moss needs to be a priority to be re-signed I believe. At the worst he's a great slot guy, so even if you go after one of the big names Moss can still have a big role here. Armstrong is a legit deep threat, and Austin could be a nice role player. Kelly is obviously the big unknown.

Yeah same here, I was just mocking the people on this board that think our wideouts suck. And Moss def. needs to be resigned, it's like the FOX announcers said, you only let him go if you have a plan/good option to replace him with, and I don't see it this year in free agency. Between Moss/Armstrong/Cooley, I think they are all dependable and we've got wildcards in Austin/Kelly/Banks. If we went into next year with the same wr corps I wouldn't be disappointed, esp. with have bigger positions of need across the board.

How about Anthony Bryant yesterday? The guy was a damn beast at the nose.

Looking at him he looks stout. My question is with that huge belly how did he fare on the physical test that Shanahan put Haynesworth through. If this guy passed it and it took AH a week, that's further evidence that AH is a lazy piece of shit.

I feel ok...I would love to see Vincent Jackson or AJ Green lined up as the number 1, across from Armstrong with Santana in the slot. A healthy Kelly as a 4 coming in some packages. And coach up Austin/Banks at the 5.

Arrrgh!

I know some of you don't want to hear or agree with me, but there is a strong possibility that Big Al will be back next season. It all depends on Shanahan talking with Big Al and listening to what Al's attitude is all about.

He may not play in every down but what Al brings to the table can be beastly as a part time DE on the right side or attack the offensive line of the opponent at there weakest man. However, if we trade him we should get at least a 3rd rounder for him.

I think this draft the Skins will go defensive line. They need a blue chip nose tackle.

I think that ship has sailed. McNabb stands a better chance at coming back than AH.

Aside from the occasional case of the dropsies, it seems to me that our receivers aren't the problem so much as the QB not having time to throw the ball. Granted, there are a few coverage sacks, but overall it seems like we get separation.

We might not have a Fitzgerald to throw a jump ball to, but we have a lot of guys who can run after the catch which is all you can really ask in the WCO.

I liked how Kevin Barnes was playing last night.

I liked everything except him trying to throw a stupid shoulder into Eli. If that were Fletcher, Eli would STILL be feeling that hit.
