I think Kelly will surprise unless he gets hurt again, I've also thought about why not convert Davis into a big physical WR.
You're kidding right? Even when he was healthy what did he do? Not much cause he really couldn't get open. He had one real good game against San Diego's back ups.

How much playing time under Shanahan's regime have you seen him play? None, right? Neither have I. Let's give him one more chance and see what he can do, I believe he will surprise, if he doesn't get hurt. If he gets hurt again then you move on.

In his defense. It was Jim Zorn's offensive shceme or whatever.. not many people did get open lol

I don't know. If I recall correctly Betts was frequently open

Davis was a WR entering USC and was converted to TE
The fade routes to Santana in the red zone will always be a nail biting situation. This is where Davis or another WR with some longer legs would benefit us with scoring.
Re-invent Davis again as a WR.

I suggested earlier that the Skins should play Kevin Barnes as a FS and they did that!
Now we need to use Rabach as a backup behind Montgomery who will backup Cooke at Center.
As for Kelly, he must be ready to jump out of his skin with anticipation of working in this offense.

I wish they would have played Cook to see what he's got, his brother is a G for the Vikes and supposedly both were pretty good in college (negatives on him are slow feet). It wouldn't hurt to draft a C and sign Mankins in FA.

I was very impressed with Austin's route running in preseason, and these past two games. He has pleasantly surprised me. I think he will be a more complete player than Armstrong.
But three 800 yard receivers, first time since 89. Not bad
But clearly we need an upgrade at receiver, none of them are elite. Even though Santana Moss had 93 receptions for 1115 yards and 6 touchdowns, clearly he's not a #1 wideout. And even though Anthony Armstrong had almost 900 yards receiving on 40+ receptions while being stuck behind Old Man Galloway for the early part of the season, clearly he's not #2 wideout material. Who needs consistency when you can have playmakers?

I agree, lets not even count on Malcolm Kelly. If he surprises, shows up and stays healthy and goes on to have a great career...great! But I am not going to hold my breath or even count on him in the 2011 plans. We would be foolish to count on him, but we would be just as foolish to dump him at this point. Give him one more chance. If he pulls another hamstring next training camp he should be sent packing. Enough is enough with his injuries.

Yeah but that's the problem. You can't go anywhere unless you beat the teams in your division. And going into next year I still see us behind all those teams.
Unless your the Raiders!! THey went 6-0 in their division and didnt make the playoffs!!! Thats insane!!!
