Former Pantera guitarist killed onstageMTK 12-09-2004, 08:32 AM Scary stuff, check this out http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1494653/20041209/damageplan.jhtml?headlines=true That Guy 12-09-2004, 03:02 PM holy hot damn... that sucks :( Riggo44 12-09-2004, 07:11 PM That's some crazy shit!! I didn't really like Pantera. But a lot of my friends did. How sad. It was 20 yrs to the day that Lenon was shot. Kind of ironic. John Lennon was killed in 1980 bro and I don't mean any disrespect but there is no comparison in the people or the situation. [In my opinion] I will say the guy could rip on a guitar and ya gotta like a dewd named "Dime Bag". peace mike skinsfanthru&thru 12-11-2004, 12:30 AM it's pretty scary how the people at the club, patrons and the band, were there just to have a good time and some nutjob comes out and blasts away at people. I'm thankful that cop was close enough to respond, but I know I would have liked to have known the guy's reasoning for doing what he did. I never really followed Pantera but from what I've heard them playing on the radio the past 2 days, the guy could flat out rip a guitar. I feel for the victims families and hope that somehow, cuz I wasn't even there but this reinforces my fears of going to a club or concert nowadays and not knowing who might be there with a beef or a short temper and a gun. He was definitely a very underrated guitarist, as you said he could really rip it up. I used to be a huge Pantera fan back in the day, 'Vulgar Display of Power' is a classic album. |
