Cam Newton is my decoy. I want his stock to sore before the draft and give us a better chance between getting our pick of the litter with QB's that have actually played for more then one year. Heck if things go well enough and an official rookie wage scale is implemented we could even trade down and still end up with out guy. In the mean time bring back Mark Rypien.

It would indeed warm the cockles of my heart to get a QB for the future to build around....if we do not have to give away the future to get him.......

Skins reportedly working on deal with Grossman. Doesn't mean he's their starter for 2011 though.

Also, some talks of working on moving Donovan for a 3rd and conditional 6th. Personally, I think that rumor is bogus

I've heard a few people say with the probable advent of an 18 game season, teams are feeling more pressure to carry 2 starting caliber QBs...which is interesting

Kyle Orton, Alex Smith, Rex Grossman. One of these 3 guys will be our QB.

You've been reading to much Smootsmack. Everyone knows we're going to trade our first round pick to the Steelers for Hines Ward and move him back to his natural position, Quarterback.

Grossman solidified at least a backup spot if not a chance to compete for a starting job. He is not our long term answer but if you build the line a QB will come.

If this kid Luck is as good as they say, we should try to trade our 1st rd this year, a second next year and Donavan McNabb to Carolina.

If Luck comes out and that team with the first pick needs a QB then the chances of getting him are moot. The type of trade you would need to get that first overall pick would look something like trading away an established young QB like Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco along with your teams first round pick. The way it looks to everyone is that this kid is a once in a generation, can't miss prospect. The type of player that even five first round picks couldn't pry away.

NFL scouts look at him the same way people saw way hockey scouts looked at Sidney Crosby back in 2005. Another good parallel would be baseball scouts evaluating Strasburg in 2009.

I cannot stress enough how highly regarded Luck is as a pro prospect. He has all the physical, mental, and intangible tools you look for in a QB. Including but not limited to height, arm strength, accuracy, leadership, experience in a pro system, Football IQ, regular IQ, and work ethic. Heck the guy even has the ability to gain yards with his legs.

The only thing we can hope is that he comes out next year and an AFC team gets the number one pick, because I can assure you, you don't want to play against this guy in the playoffs once he fully develops.

There is no way we get luck folks, we don't have any trade bait and not enough picks to move up

Lol, it would take the most incriminating stack of blackmail against the front office and ownership of the team with the number one pick. You would need evidence of war crimes that violate the Geneva Convention and even then it might not be enough to acquire that first overall pick.

I am not qualified to make a serious answer, so I'll make one just for laughs.
