Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?

As poorly as McNabb has played this year...I believe it is foolish to ditch him when our critical need is oline + multiple defensive positions.

Shanny would have done much better to say he is resting McNabb for the rest of the season...even if his intent was not to start him next year..his other starter could "outplay" him for the starting role...we could trade if need be.

Since he didnt do this...it looks more and more that he intends to trade McNabb prior or during the draft to get a mediocre pick back to potentially pick up a project guard or something. This rushing from QB to QB crap is stupid...it was not a top need last year and it is not this year either...and again, we will mortgage the future on another quest to find another john elway.....note....even john elway would have gotten crushed this year behind this line.

This line is only marginally better than last year....we need to pick up olinemen in the top two rounds for the next 2 years...we cant afford luxury picks for a "better" qb when we already have McNabb.

Our QB form the 2011 season will be, who knows. Look right now we know it takes a QB a couple of years to get comfortable most offensive schemes. I still believe McNabb can do better in this offense in his 2nd year. I also believe we need a QB for the future and Rex maybe the opening starter until our drafted QB is ready to play. McNabb will not be back unless he takes a pay cut and getss on board with both Shannys.


Pay cut? Not likely at all given that he has a signed contract that gets him big bucks if he is on the final roster of 53 players. If he takes a pay cut, it will be with some other team after he is released from the Skins.


Gets on board with both Shannys? This will happen about the same time Albert Haynesworth runs and finishes a marathon.

I hope so, too, but I doubt it.

It seems that one of the factors in Shanny's dismissal from Denver was that his arrogance led him to foolish and counterproductive errors. When we hired him, I had hoped that his experience had chastened him and taught him something. Instead, the sagas of Haynesworth and DMac make Shanny seem more arrogant than ever (although both AH and DMac had parts to play in the sagas), arrogant in a problematic way that likely will cement the father-son bond.

Makes me wonder. If Donovan is so adamant about taking the high road then why is his agent releasing a new statement every other day about how the coaching staff has mishandled his client? Certainly Donovan has the power to tell him to put a lid on it.

What is the freaking love affair with McNabb??? What has he done as a Redskins to deserve anything?? It obvious he doesn't want to learn the system, so get rid of him!!! I like Shanahan's philosophy of playing the best player no matter how much money he makes, or his draft position..Why should MS worries about his feelings??No player on this 5-9 team deserve anything. People act like DM was a great Redskin like Sonny Jurgensen, and they can't believe MS disrespected him..Goodbye DM, and goodbye to all the cry baby players that feel disrespected because they weren't told earlier in the week they suck..Is the outrage in DC that MS bench a black QB or is it because he bench the great Redskins DM?
