It is the most important position on the field so we need to get it right THIS time after missing 4 times (Ramsey, Brunell, Campbell, McNabb) since 2000. Pathetic really that we have missed that many times but history is history.
Unless Rex completely craps the bed these next 2 games, I can't see a scenario where he isn't the opening day starter next season with a 1st round pick QB behind him. I don't watch much CFB but from what I've seen I am not really sold on Locker or Ponder, as I said earlier in this thread they both seem Shuler-ish to me.. The Boise kid is intriguing but seems too small, slow, weak armed for the NFL-but I could be wrong... Other than being 6'7 I don't know anything about Mallet and I get the feeling that Newton is Vince Young without the emotional problems but with a used car dealer smile.
I guess that's a long way of saying I have no clue who will be a good fit for us but I'm sure one of them will be holding up a jersey next to Mike and Kyle in April.

Moore isn't weak armed. Everytime I have watched this guy he throws 60 yard bombs and that is 60 yards in the air. Other than that I think you are right on.

I don't see a 1st round qb being drafted. Depending on the last two games, I think Rex is the starter and Beck the project.

sure moore doesnt have a cannon arm but thats if you compare him to peyton manning or something... his arm is above average in my eyes. and yeah hes short and slow but so is drew brees. in fact, moore reminds me of brees alot with the accuracy and all.
i'd make moore a priority to pick up, maybe using a 5th or even a 4th on him.

I hope that's not true. Not that I want him but I would sure like an insurance policy to tempt teams picking ahead of us. Then again he is a spread QB with only 1 year of starting experience.

I'm watching College Football Live right now. They just sold me on wanting to draft Kellen Moore. He got the Boise State play book off the internet and had it memorized BEFORE he went to school there. They said he was teaching OLinemen where to go when he first got there. He is a film rat and his processing and ability to read defenses is faster than just about anyone. Sounds like a Peyton Manning-esque kind of player to me. I am going to be pulling for Shanny to draft him now. I am officially starting the Kellen Moore Mob. Whose with me?
