mooby 12-20-2010, 07:36 AM A BIG wide receiver? Haven't we tried that? Remember, we passed up on Desean Jackson because the thought was we just HAD to have a wideout over 6'2".
I'm sick of the tall wide receiver argument -- just get a guy who's fast, and who knows how to run routes correctly. If he's over six feet, great, but I don't think that matters much anymore.
Seriously. As long as he runs good routes and can catch the ball, I wouldn't care if he weighed as much as an offensive lineman. Why do we need a big wideout? I think people confuse big with good. Look at every wideout above say 6'2, in the league today. Then look at how many of them are actually good players who contribute. Big wideouts don't mean anything if they can't catch the ball or run good routes.
SmootSmack 12-20-2010, 08:02 AM I'm not happy we lost but I was pretty pleased with the way we played overall. Pleased enough to do something i never do the morning after a loss, and that's watch ESPN. I always avoid watching because I'd like a day without reminders that we lost and other guys won, but today I don't mind as much.

I'll take a loss like the Skins anyday .The team played and came around, everyone gave effort and although it wasn't a win I beleive your team turned a corner .The Giants don't deserve to make the playoffs.

Yep, I avoid SC at all costs after a loss. I've been doing alot of that recently w/ the McNabb drama and the "skins bashing."

Well in the Giants defense they played well for 3 quarters, it's just the Eagles finally got wise to how your defense was playing and adjusted. As soon as the Eagles adjusted the Giants d should've adjusted accordingly, but they didn't, and you guys lost. That's not to say Vick couldn't have beaten you if you backed off the blitzes a bit and played more coverage, but hey, hindsight is 20/20.
And it doesn't help that your rookie punter kicked a really poor punt at the end of the game that one of the most dangerous punt returners in the game took back to the house. I wouldn't be suprised if he's cut tomorrow. That was just a dumb mistake not punting it out of bounds, and on top of that, it had poor hang time and it was a line drive. That's like a recipe for a punt return touchdown.
As for the Skins, as soon as Moss dropped the pass, I was sittin there thinking, man I hope we don't regret that later. 2 huge sacks and almost 20 yards lost later, I was like, if they end up with a short field it doesn't bode well for our chances. 20 yards gained by the Cowboys later after starting near the 50, I was like, our chances are slimming by the second. Overall though this loss was much easier to take, when we were down 27-7 I thought things were pretty grim but Grossman and the offense showed some big time resolve in coming back to tie the game.

Agree, I know I shouldnt care about being "IN" a game but I do, after the recent pathetic efforts this team has put out, it was nice to see us dominating someone for a few quarters, even if we did lose in the end.
skinsfan69 12-20-2010, 09:03 AM Considering Rex had not played in a few years I really thought Rex did a nice job. He actually hit guys without making them have to reach back or forward for the ball. The defense still sucks but what else is new? Haslett needs to go asap. The guy just looks lost out there.
Giantone 12-20-2010, 09:12 AM Well in the Giants defense they played well for 3 quarters,.
Sorry I must correct you, they played well for ....53 mins.....but as they are learning this morning the game is 60 mins long.
