I love the argument some make that "allowing" gays into the military will hurt our military effectiveness because our "allies" in some places are less accepting and that will make it harder to work with them. Haha. That's a good one. Like the same "allies" are just fine with the women and minorities that make up like half of our forces. You can be black and a woman in Saudi Arabia but god forbid you're gay. Then you're out. Idiot argument.

What makes you think some of them aren't already there?
With all of the wars this country is just itching to get into, I'd say the military needs all the help it can get.
I personally don't have any issues with gays serving.

As someone who served overseas for 6 years, lets just say it's not much of a secret that there are a lot of gay men and women serving. 90% of the time, it's no big deal, everyone knows and just goes about their business. But that other 10% can get pretty ugly, so this legislation is definitely a good thing.

ditto. I think a lot of anti-gays in the military people have this image of Liberacci in camo or something.

Is this, and the financial recovery the only two major accomplishments under Obama?
I am not saying they were positive or negative, but largest in terms of scope/impact.

Not sure if I call it a financial recovery. You can but go ask the millions out of work.

Thanks for making it political, first. I can always count on you for doing that. Way to completely ignore my 2nd sentence in the post.
