He could, but the more realistic plan to me is to get a rookie in there by the middle of the season. The days of sitting a rookie for even for just one season are long over with.
Let's get a 5th rounder and have him be our franchise QB. I'm pretty sure our fanbase will be patient as said QB learns the ropes with an awesome O-Line made up of nothing but 1st and 2nd round picks that gives him all day to throw.

Grossman actually looked great when the line protected him. He made several throws that we haven't seen before this year.

Grossman didnt throw any balls into the dirt of wide open receivers, that was nice to see. Grossman did enough to win this game just cant give up 30 points.

I don't think that applies to all young drafted QBs. Not all draftees can handle the pressure. But rest assure, Coach is going to get the best one that our pick can give us.

Rex played much better than I expected, he helped this offense Move up and down the field in the 2nd half. 4 Tds for a skins QB since Brunell in 05, That's pretty impressive and sad at the same time

you have to acredit some of rex's play to the actual play calling. this was one of the best called games offensivly by kyle shanahan. they targeted moss like crazy and got cooley involved and spread the ball around it was a nice change

You mean the decision making done by the QB, and his ability to hit the targeted receiver?

Rex looked very sharp out there today -- he seemed to be much more confident and more settled than Dmac.
I figured he would look rusty today.

First quarter was rough. Should be interesting to see what next week brings.
