PER ADAM S....................... Now that the Redskins are officially eliminated from playoffs, trade comp for McNabb is complete. Eagels will get Redskins 2011 4th-rd pick.
Maybe I'm thinking pie in the sky but I'd be slightly surprised if we aren't able to get a 4th from Miami, Minnesota, Arizona or even Tennessee for McNabb limiting our exposure to the 2010 2nd round pick.
Clearly we're going to draft a QB in the 1st round and Shanny is hoping Rex can be a 2011 stopgap. As we get away from the shock of the move, it's an organizationally responsible move to make, especially since they've already decided that McNabb isn't our future. As the NFL-N guys were saying, it's also put up or shut up time for Kyle. If his system and the offense works better with a guy who isn't considered by anyone as a 'good' QB then with a handpicked 1st round pick it should be dynamite.

While this board is all about sharing and respectfully debating opinions, there are some members of this board whose opinion merits much less courtesy than others, particularly when they say things like this

The O-Line has made great improvements from years past. I see their down falls from a combination of placing guys in situations that they cannot progress beyond the linesman's natural abilities.
I wonder if Rabach and Brown fit in the above assessment. They both are physical and good man-on man type players, but can they move fast enough to play in this scheme. Most of the pieces are there and I am sure they will fine tuned this offensive line to the scheme's liking. Coaches keep their jobs because they know from experience what works for their brand of football.
Jason Campbell, QB for the Oakland Raiders at NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/players/jasoncampbell/profile?id=CAM375235)
JC hasn't played bad Matt, yes it helps to have DMC and Bush in the backfield but I give him props the guy is a fighter and has played great the last 2 games. I say he's their guy again next season
Not saying he's played bad, but he's been up and down and hasn't exactly locked down the starting job there. He's gone back and forth with Gradkoswki.

^ pat jones is on Okc radio here and he said he believes the raiders will cut grad and make a push for kolb, he used to coach in Oakland and knows al very well so he's usually right on when it comes to Oakland. As for JC we all know how inconsistent he is and I guarantee you most of the fans on this board who say we should have kept him are full of shit.

Using Jason as an example of a former Skins QB getting screwed is non-sense. Why even visit that nightmare? This is a find example of how players fit with certain offenses and not with others.
I wish Campbell well and hope he sticks with Oakland. Just glad he is not our problem any more.

Rex i thought today played pretty well for a guy who essentially hasnt started in 3 years. I think that if Rex can keep playing well, then he could be the QB solution for the next 2 to 3 years while a young QB is groomed for the future.

That's the million dollar Question.. I don't know about 2-3 years but 1 year yes

Yeah I'll go with 1, at the most 2 years.
