NFC Worst (seriously)

Out of the 21 wins in the NFC Worst, I broke down how many were against non-NFCWest opponents. It's simply astounding that a full division can be so bad.
Here are their wins:

StL - Den, Ari, Was, SD, Car, Sea
Sea - SF, SD,Chi, Ari,Ari, Car
SF - Sea, Ari, Stl, Den, Oakland
Ari -Stl, Oak, NO(???),Den

highlighting the 12 NON division wins:
StL - Den, Was, SD, Car
Sea - SD, Chi, Car
SF - Den, Oak
Ari - Den, Oak, NO(???)

take out Denver, and Carolina as legitimately terrible teams, and Oakland and SD duplicates, and this division has basically beat 5 competitive teams, and only 3 that currently have a winning record (SD, NO, Chi) and even those wins came when those teams were struggling.

Seriously, this is an AWFUL division.

Yes. I agree. it looks right now that there are 2 teams from the NFC West that could go 7-9 and be tied for first place. I think the Rams will make it in the playoffs at 7-9

What will be crazier is when the Rams (or Hawks) beat somebody in the 1st round! At least our loss to the rams doesn't look so bad now, they might be a div. winner.

Props to GTripp, who in his game analysis said that game wasn't a case of us playing poorly, the Rams were on our level or better. Which now means we can really confirm the Skins aren't that good.

Im imagining this now, and its crazy. In theory, a 6-10 team from the NFC West will go to the playoffs if they win their dvision, and imagine if they somehow won in the playoffs and even made it to the championship game or the superbowl...closest i've ever seen to that was in madden this summer, the saints went 7-9, went to the playoffs, won their 1st game, but got knocked off in the next. I was hoping they'd somehow go all the way....

The NFC West will be the reason why the current playoff format will be revised before next season, so no team with a losing record will make the playoffs over a potentially 10-6 or 11-5 team that ends up third in their division.

We all knew the NFC West was atrocious simply because of the fact that they are the first division with an actual legit shot of having a team with a losing record make the playoffs.

I think if you win the division, you should still go to the playoffs. BUT, if you are sub .500, then you should not be allowed to host a playoff game. The NFL isn't going to do something that keeps possibly an entire division from having a team in the playoffs.

No the rams play the seahawks. At worst it will be 7-9 (or 6-9-1)

I'm rooting for whoever wins that division to go all the way.

And we lost to the only team we played in that division.

I say someone will finish 8-8, and regardless of what happens the NFL isn't going to change up the playoff system based on season. It would have to be an ongoing issue in multiple years.
