There's another thread for that too.

Well, congratulations to Brett Favre on his record setting streak, which I won't lie, I believe it should've ended in 2008 when he tore his rotator cuff with the Jets. If their coaching staff had made him take an MRI or CT Scan and a torn rotator cuff showed up, I have no doubts he would've been placed on IR.

But that's in the past and largely forgotten, and I won't be bitter about it seeing as how he is a HOFer and the streak was still largely impressive back in 2008, so I'll just congratulate him on playing through the pain all these years.

Long live Brett Favre. I know he has a lot of critics, especially due to his waffling about retirement, but the bottom line here is that he was a man who gave his life to football, and had a deep seated desire to continue playing the game he loves, and wrestling with his own athletic mortality.

I wonder if he comes back at all this year, or is this it, with the playoffs completley out of the question...

Pretty damn amazing streak, especially with the hits QBs take.

And I think he gets too much hate for his indecision. It's a job he really loves, and it's tough to leave something you love to do.

What i dont understand is why, if the team wants to continue the streak, why they can't just put him in for one series or something...like a couple of handoffs...that way he can still start and keep the streak alive.

Well they approached him about doing that, but (and this is the only time I'll praise Favre for a decision he makes) he said he would never do that, once it's over, it's over, no doing anything like that to keep it alive.

Damn, that's a pretty price for a football.
