Ok so as most of you know I am an Assistant Manager at Gamestop. My store manager has to be the biggest douchebag in the world. He is seriously incompetent. When something he does goes bad or is the wrong thing, It's my fault when I go behind him and fix his problems it's why didnt I do that eariler? Also, we have a supervisiior who I dont know how she got the job other than the fact that she used to work at a club with my current store manager. So when she ****es up she gets a pass on everything. Not to deviate from the store manager but she is always trying to tell me how to do my job, I am thinking "I am your boss for a reason woman don't tell me how to do my job" So back to the other asswipe, we had a conference call last week and he forgot to send in payroll on time so I had to come in on my day off and get it fixed and our district manager knew this beforehand so when he brings it up to my store manager, he tries to throw me under the bus by saying I didn't finish my paperwork. I have never wanted to hit someone so bad before in my life. But just wondering Have you guys ever had a manager like that?

You're enabling him...you should stop covering up his incompetence. In fact you should tell the district manager he has no clue what he's doing and he's hiring people who don't have a clue what they are doing. You might also want move on and upgrade to a job with better people.

Retail is littered with incompetent managers.

Check that, all lines of work are littered with incompetent managers. It's rare when you find the good ones.

Its funny because yesterday I had to cover for a different AM at a different store and it's amazing how smoothly all their stuff gets done compared to our store.

I feel like retail just always has some more jacked up managers than there is good reason to be. I work part-time at Macy's and I have plenty of managers that are complete assholes. It was so bad that I actually found a new part-time job.

I had one manager go off on me about the fitting room not being clean. I am only suppose to check it once an hour, so it's very very possible in the span of 45 minutes since I last went in there and that someone might have tried on some clothes. She kept saying it was unacceptable and what not. I was afraid it was going to be really bad when I went in there, BUT THERE WAS ONLY ONE ROOM OUT OF 7 THAT HAD ANYTHING IN IT.

Hopefully S1 is employing a little satire as he is want to do. A move like this is high risk/low reward with little chance of success. Although you are undoubtedly a solid competant, if not outstanding employee, you will likely be branded a malcontent, non-team playing rat.
AND the other employees will definately try to get your ass as will the manager. You have to be a little more subtle with things like this.
BUT I do agree with O'Saden1 as you should try to start working to get yourself headed for a more professional field where you can expect more.

Why not try and frame him for something major that the company would realize only the Store Manager would have control of. If the guy is that incompetent, he will never see it coming, and neither will anyone else.

Because then corporate might do an overhaul and get rid of everyone
