Meanwhile, Chiefs sign Jamaal Charles to a contract extension
Kansas City Chiefs lock in Jamaal Charles with 5-year, $32.5 million deal - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5909051)
The same Charles Cerrato refused to trade a 5th round pick for. Perry Riley or Jamaal Charles? Sometimes trading a draft pick isn't such a bad idea
The conditions Vinny needs for a trade involving draft picks to happen is that the player is old, a high round pick must be bunched in, and that the player needs to be famous(i.e former Pro Bowler). Jamaal Charles wasn't any of those at the time. He wasn't an "offseason winner".:cheeky-sm
