(http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/albert-haynesworth/haslett-on-haynesworth-can-you.html) SmootSmack 12-10-2010, 11:04 AM I had a dream last night that Fat Albert was in my local bar...he was having a beer and he ordered wings. As soon as he bit into the second chicken leg he choked on it. I woke up before having the chance to help him. I wonder if this dream has any meaning. Ironically I was choking on Sunday, well maybe it's not ironic. But while watching the game at a bar with my cousin I felt like a true Redskin because I literally starting choking. My cousin had to do the heimlich on me, it was pretty crazy Back to our regularly scheduled program now 44ever 12-10-2010, 12:10 PM In the end, Haynesworthcouldn't be forced to care (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/12/08/AR2010120806827.html) "I've been doing this a long time and one thing you know is you want players committed to your team," Shanahan says. "Playing for each other, and not for themselves. Playing to do the best they can to help the team win. They're all different. Some won't practice when they're feeling bad, and some will. Some will give you everything on every play. And it's my job to make sure to put best team together, people who are committed to each other. The teams I've been on that won Super Bowls, that won championships, they have one thing in common. They knew how to win, and the team was made up of the right people." 44ever 12-10-2010, 03:06 PM Jim Haslett Takes Turn Criticizing Albert Haynesworth's Work Ethic, Maturity -- NFL FanHouse (http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2010/12/09/jim-haslett-takes-turn-criticizing-albert-haynesworths-work-eth/?ncid=edlinkusspor00000004) "I think Mike made the right decision to make him inactive," Haslett said. "We know over the years, based off what we saw last year in film, when he doesn't practice well or he doesn't show up for Christmas -- -- whatever the situation is -- then he doesn't play well. ... bigmarley4 12-10-2010, 03:07 PM I say hang on to him and bury him on the depth chart. Put him on the practice squad, treat him like crap until he quits and bows out of his contract. Sent from my HTC using Taptalk. Not eligible for PS. For all intents and purposes PS is for rookie or 2nd year guys only. Then why the "f" didn't they get rid of him? mlmdub130 12-10-2010, 04:07 PM after listening to all the initial pressers and releases it's a shame it didn't work out. it we would have stuck with the 4-3 who knows what may or may not have happened. hopfully it will be more than one or two years before we have another issue with a big name fa firstdown 12-10-2010, 04:08 PM Ironically I was choking on Sunday, well maybe it's not ironic. He was starting to black out when a doctor came up and did the heimlich on him probably saving his life. mlmdub130 12-10-2010, 04:12 PM Then why the "f" didn't they get rid of him? thats the weird part and why both parties have to take some form of blame. either they tried to build a case againgst him in an effort to get back some money. or they saw flashes of brilliance from time to time and wanted to make it work, or snyder just didn't sign off on it until he refused to speak with shanahan. either way it was mishandled and mishandled badly. let's just hope it doesn't happen anytime in the near future and try and build a team to be proud of.
