I know there are some Haynensworth apologist here that will say Big Al didn't get a fair shake with Shanahan...horsehockey......He (Shanahan...Bull%#@......He) didn't like the "scheme" or the coachs last year and went upstairs and behind their backs to cry ....well he got what he wanted...they got fired and he got "new Coachs"....now we still don't like the scheme or Haslett and everyone is picking on Al...again.
Shanahan is the "HEADCOACH".....he is "God" when it comes to that team ...you do what you are told....end of story ,doesn't matter if you make 100 mill or 100 thousand..if he tells you to be the kicker ...you do it.
There are some EX Redskin coachs laughing real hard right now.
To me that is one of the remarkable things in this sad saga. I've never seen players call out other players they way that they have AH.
I have to agree. When I am not to pissed for rational thought...........I think, MAN Big A REALLY hosed himself in DC and possibly anywhere for that matter. Really could have been something.
Yah, he absconded some cash........
HUGE talent and nobody is more appreciative than Dan with the money. He is now a marked man now. He will never get that kind of pay day again and he could have. Somebody will give him a shot, but with caution.
I heard a sports guy today speculating that he does not like Football.....just what it can bring...like $$$$
Shame........

When his career is over and he gets a little older, he will reflect back and realize his mistake. The money won't be as important as what he could have been. He will leave no legacy and eventually be forgotten completely. Enjoy it while you can AH. HTTR!

I think its a shame that every year there is always going with this organization we just cant get through 1 season with out having some type of hoopla.
One writer's perspective on distractions and how we move on from them.

The Carter philosophy is one Albert would have been best served by adopting and adhering too. He recognizes, and has accepted his limitations in making the switch from down lineman to L/B, but he didn't complain and made the most of his abilities, limited though they may be. True definition of a team player.

AC is a pro's pro, too bad guys like him and Fletcher couldn't rub off on AH. I'm sure they tried, but AH is just a dope who's never going to get it.

Even a guy like Philip Daniels, people forget that at Georgia and early in his NFL career with the Seahawks he was basically the Orakpo of his day. A hybrid linebacker-RDE with pass rushing skills who ultimately found that he could either let injuries that hurt his quickness end his career or he could find a niche as a run stopping LDE and last in the league for over 15 years.

Better than releasing him in my opinion. Recoup some cash and let him rot, **** HIM!!
That is my thought too!! Why should we release him so he can sign somewhere else and then grin up in the cameras because he was another person that came to washington to get paid and not play like they did to get the big contract.
1) Adam Archuleta
Redskins, in 2006, paid him a seven-year, $35 million deal that included $10 million up front.
2) Jeff George
George got a four-year, $18 million pact -- to back up Johnson.
3) Brandon Lloyd
Washington traded third- and fourth-round picks to the 49ers, then gave Lloyd -- before he'd ever taken an offseason rep -- a $31 million deal with more than $10 million up front.
4) Deion Sanders
At 32 years old, Sanders was released by Dallas and was immediately signed -- get this -- to a seven-year, $56 million deal that included a $8 million bonus.
5) Jeremiah Trotter
Washington signed its former division rival to a seven-year, $35 million deal that came with $7 million guaranteed.
Bruce Smith deserves dishonarable mention also.
