I say if the Broncos get rid of him, the Redskins should bring him in and coach him.
What happens to Tebow after McDaniels' firing? - NFL - Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AnHzoHr2UF45W2_ZZkPzLERDubYF?slug=jc-tebowmcdaniels120610)
You guys realize that McDaniels runs a completely different system right? Why do you think he got rid of so many starters and role players on Denvers Offense in the first place?

Nah, I think he just doesn't like inheritances and guys with a big attitude. However, Shanahan is a hard ass in his own right, yet Cutler and Marshall thrived under him.
Besides, coaching a coach and having two young chefs in the kitchen.

I just don't see why he tried to come in there make so many changes on what appeared to be an offense that was going to be top notch for a long time. Total dumbass. His problems weren't on offense. He came in with an overachieving offense and traded two guys who have gone to underachieve elsewhere for a king's ransom. Then he got top quartile production out of guys like Kyle Orton and Brandon Lloyd. The running game is coming along, and would be there for them if/when they get a healthy line.
The big problem there was historically bad defense which, you know, was the problem when McDaniels got there. Easy to say now that he should have never fired Mike Nolan, but I have to imagine that a huge internal conflict caused that departure because that defense was terrible before Nolan got there and was terrible after he left.
Kind of funny that what ultimately got McDaniels canned also got Shanahan canned two years before that.
I heard he was too much of a dictator and didn't delegate and trust his guys enough. Not many guys last very long with that kind of style.

So I guess the word on the street is the next coach of the Broncos will be the current head coach at Air Force. That's a bit of a stunner
But I guess they have to go with someone fairly cheap what with them still paying Shanahan and McDaniels (unless they can get out of the McD contract)

McDaniel's flirting with Matt Cassel was just the first domino in a series that led to Denver's downfall. It's funny how many of the head coaches who worked for Belicheat think that hoodie's arrogant prick act will work for them (McDaniel, Mangini, Weis). Respect is earned capital, and given McDaniel's mishandling Cutler, trading Hillis, etc., what little capital he had was completely exhausted.

Suprised it took so long. I said he didn't seem to know what the "F" he was doing. Plus he had all that talent and kept cutting or trading or letting leave for lesser talent.

Surprising they didn't wait until the end of the season. Now they're paying TWO former coaches.
