Is it just me or does Chris Cooley play the game like a 10 year veteran?

I mean in another thread we talked about how receivers like Monk and Ellard were guys the QB could always depend on to get the necessary yards and make the catch. Chris Cooley is only a rookie and already it seems like he knows exactly where to be at all times. Can't say enough good things about this guy.

He's headed for Canton, no doubt (that was especially for SportsCurmudgeon :biggthump )

I love this kid. I really dont even know what to say about him, he's everywhere, making plays to keep drives alive. He might even lead the team with TD Catches this season (i'm to lazy to look). He is just all over the place all the time, finding ways to get open(how about that TD that got called back). He is defintley a becoming a very poised, determined player.... I love it!

I like his attitude, size, hands, and mobility. He's not Winslow, but he's a better all-around player. I love him.

He's what Gibbs calls a Redskin type of guy. It also seemed obvious that he and Ramsey have quite a connection. There was one shot where he and Ramsey were playfully pushing each other on the sidelines. I think he will play a bigger and bigger role in this offense - exactly as the tight ends did in previous Gibbs-coached teams.

He's got such good hands, very rarely drops the ball. Maybe Gardner can take lessons from him!

You knew things were going well today when even Gardner was able to hold onto a pass and it was a tough one to catch!

Gardner always catches the hard balls. It's the easy dinky ones he drops. Gardner has made a few spectacular catches this year. One where he laid out and bareely caught it with his finger tips. The one in Dallas that if we had a TO would have tied the game. It's when he drops a screenpass that I worry!

I wasn't real happy when we drafted him, but I was definatly wrong. He looks like he has the hands and blocking skills to make him a monster over the next 10 years.

Gibbs hit the jackpot with Cooley, he's a perfect player for this offense.

You hit that one on the head Matty!

I don't follow college football all that much so I didn't know anything about the kid coming out of college but once we drafted him I was able to see all the highlight film on him, as soon as I saw it I knew he would be everything he has become and he will only continue to become more of an offensive threat, I personally think he's a better all around TE than Gibb's has ever had as a head coach, he is defiently worth the extra pick we gave up to insure we were able to get him in the 3rd rd. We have a real gamer in Cooley.

Since Ade Jimoh and Cooley went to the same college I wonder if Jimoh got in some coach's ear and said they should take a look at this kid

If that's the case. Way to go Ade! There's a GM job waiting for you when you retire
