Devin Thomas can tell the Giants how to build a web sight or be in music videos or how to start a modeling career. But teach them about anything to do with football.....nah!

How Can the Skins Possibly Overcome THIS???Defensewins 12-01-2010, 02:08 AM Devin Thomas can tell the Giants how to build a web sight or be in music videos or how to start a modeling career. We lose and the world ends. Good lord.. I highly doubt Devin Thomas is going to give them anymore type of edge then they probably already have on us. Were a growing football team fellas were just not "there" yet. I'm with ya it's frustrating but it's just the way it is. Haha, yeah but that's how it goes on fan sites like these. The secret is to enjoy the games we play well in and not get too upset when we don't. Problem is, it's tough to settle for not getting too upset too often this season. I'm pretty sure this thread was made in jest, since I doubt a curmudgeon would seriously be so juvenile in his thought process. tdSKINS1 12-01-2010, 02:50 AM I'll be the first to admit I get upset and pissed off at the Redskins. This season were able to keep games close (excluding the Eagle game) and contend which is very promising. We have holes still and the talent level just isn't there. Were not a 12-4 football team yet. It's a building process that is long overdue. This is what we get for the mistakes that we made years ago. Just root for them hard during the games, and don't let it stress you out to much it really just isn't worth it. You'll die an early if you let this teams failures get to you. This is why I'm also a big Hokie fan because atleast they somewhat can put together a good team (exclude JMU and Boise State week haha) tc2deuce 12-01-2010, 03:00 AM devin still does not know our offense and that is why he is a bust! 44ever 12-01-2010, 09:47 AM MS has said that the offense has only been running on 1/3 of its capabilities. Nobody on the team knows the offense entirely. With so many injuries to our RB core, the offense will be tweeked anyway. So I'm not worried about DT spilling any secrets. Besides the offense we have been using thus far is far from what it will become once all is implemented. And finally, it will be our defense that will win the game if it is to be won. Stop Eli and cause turnovers and win the game. Turn him lose and our offense doesn't make the diff. JoeRedskin 12-01-2010, 10:06 AM Coughlin: Okay Thomas, tell us everything you know about the Redskins offense. DT: Ummmm, well, I know they have a playbook. It's pretty thick. Kinda heavy. I think there are some drawings and words and stuff inside it. Coughlin: <sigh> Okay. Did you ever look at the "words and stuff"? DT: Sometimes, between modeling gigs. Kinda boring. Usual football stuff - run this way, run that way. I just sorta made it up as I went along. Coughlin: <shaking head> Well, as you "went along", did you pick up on any particular tendencies of Coach Shanahan's offense? You know, things he did on a regular basis in certain situations? DT: Oh yeah. He had a lot of "tendencies". He had a tendency to get mad when I couldn't run the same route twice in practice. He had a tendency to yell at me for running to high through my routes. He had a tendency to shout at me for not being exactly where he wanted me to be on a play. Man, he was filled with damn tendencies! BTW, sorry for dropping that pass, I was up late last night working my modeling portfolio and am feeling a little out of it this morning. So, when do I get to play coach? I can't wait to take a sh** on Mike Shanahan and the Skins to show them what a mistake they made. Did you ever see the game film of me in New Orleans? I am da man and will hook you up! Coughlin: Well, how well do you know our playbook? DT: You mean that thick thing with the pictures and words and stuff? Well, I looked at it while I was talking to my agent about a record deal. I am good with it. Coughlin: You know Thomas, I don't think you're going to see much action this Sunday. DT: <mumbling> goddamn tendencies. CRedskinsRule 12-01-2010, 10:08 AM An article on Thomas in HailMagazine.com: iMirus Online Digital Reader (http://hailmagazine.imirus.com/Mpowered/book/vhail10/i8/p1) The format was a pain, and after reading it, I found DT to be a bit clueless. You ever talk to someone, and all they here is what they want to hear? That sounds like Devin's responses here. I wasn't in the meeting, but I have been in several where you are trying to tell someone what needs to be improved, and you give several positives to emphasize that it's not all negative. If my boss, and my boss' boss, and the president of the company all say the same thing as a negative, I would tend to get the impression I need to fix that. It sounds like he came away feeling, "hey it's all good", and that just wasn't the case, obviously. He also talks about how Zorn knew how to use him, but if I remember correctly it wasn't until Zorn was stripped of playcalling duties that he got on the field and did good for a few games. DCtoAZ 12-01-2010, 10:51 AM If we lose this game and DT has a solid performance i'll need a week to recover hooskins 12-01-2010, 10:54 AM Haha, yeah as others are saying who cares about DT. He could barely understand the introduction to the playbook. |
