Agreed with the above poster.
Although I believe it is so bad with opposing team fans invading FedEx field because of whoever is in charge of tickets, selling group seats/discounts for fans of opposing teams to come and see the game there.
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but i believe that is the reason why the steelers invaded us on that monday night game in 2008.
As long as the Redskins care more about selling tickets, instead of making sure the tickets go to skins fans, we will always have this problem.
No the reason why teams invade our stadium is because the people that complain about the stadium never buy tickets and go to the game. I had season tickets and I could not give some tickets away to skins fans. If fans would stop bitching and buy tickets we would not have that problem. Winning would also help.

Always thought they should run their preseason games there, they average under what RFK holds so why not?

That number is only substantial if compared to our record on the road during that time period. If you're bored again Gman, could you run those numbers?
Of Course:
97- 3-5
98- 2-6
99- 4-5 (0-1 Playoffs)
00- 4-4
01- 4-4
02- 2-6
03- 2-6
04- 3-5
05- 5-5 (1-1 playoffs)
06- 2-6
07- 4-4
08- 4-4
09- 1-7
10- 3-2
So that is: 43-69 on the road... wow... I really didn't think we were that bad on the road.....
There you have it though...Hopefully I'm not off on these.

BTW...this team is so predictable
I bet anybody we beat the Giants on the road (Playoff team)
Beat Tampa at home (Playoff team)
Beat Jacksonville on the road (possible playoff team)
But somehow NOT make the Playoffs losing to dallas on the road (finished)
Or lose the Home game finale against the Giants in a "win, we are in" scenario
That's just how we roll...:cheeky-sm

I know this may be pointless because it's not going to happen but this team has NO Homefield advantage at FedEx. You look at teams like Baltimore, Atlanta, GB, Pitts etc and teams know going in that it's a dogfight. I feel lie opposing teams are playing at a neutral site in Landover. I'd like to know what our record is all time at FedEx? I bet it's under .500 or pretty close. This team was great at RFK and actually had an advantage there.
Have you been to RFK lately?! Its a dump.

I think that had more to do with how good the Skins were rather than the stadium.

Back when this team was at RFK, they were winning on a consistent basis. The new generation fans didn't have the luxury of being able to watch this team during its glory years. I would imagine in today's economy and the recent history of this team, fans generally probably don't care much for going to watch the Redskins play. Lord knows I don't have the money to shell out for season tickets (nor do I live close enough to attend all the home games.)
It was a special time to be a Redskins fan. So many great memories there. Fed Ex is simply not a good stadium nor is it a home field advantage like Seattle, Balt or KC.

I agree but FedEx has been critized by skins fans for years. When GB played there I swear it sounded like we were on the road.
