If he can't play for Carolina then it's just not meant to be.
Devin Thomas Cut By Panthersskinsfan69 11-23-2010, 07:01 PM If he can't play for Carolina then it's just not meant to be. GusFrerotte 11-23-2010, 07:05 PM DT being cut again just affirms my belief that you shouldn't draft anybody from MSU anymore. Lorenzo White was the last Spartan that really performed. The Lions like to draft MSU QBs, but they only ever make it to the backup spot. Hopefully Cousins and his WRs coming out prove me wrong, but I hope the Skins aren't the team taking that chance. freddyg12 11-23-2010, 07:06 PM Vet minimum?! DT doesn't seem to cut well at full speed, he might've taken a couple to the house here if he could've made some moves after he got through the wall. I think this guy could probably play RB, might have to bulk up a little more, but he's already pretty big. He runs more like a rb than a wr. JoeRedskin 11-23-2010, 07:17 PM Good luck to Devin. I don't think being cut after being picked up midseason is that big of an indictment. I hope Devin catches on with a team and gets a whole offseason with them. If nothing else he should have a place returning kicks/punts. He was pretty good for us. Being cut by the Patriots after being picked up midseason is not that big of an indictment. Being cut by Carolina - whenever it happens - is a big indictment. WR's kept (and playing) ahead of DT: Dave Gettis: 25 catches, 54% catch ratio (catches/targets); 3 TD's Brandon LaFell: 20 catches, 47% Catch Ratio; 1 TD David Clowney: 4 catches, 50% Catch Ratio, 0 TD Gettis is listed as WR2. DT can't beat one of these guys out for a one year roster spot? That's an indictment. CRedskinsRule 11-23-2010, 07:57 PM Or he could go to the giants and have a stellar career. :vomit: MTK 11-23-2010, 08:00 PM Uh oh he's getting the Ramsey treatment mooby 11-23-2010, 09:09 PM The Panthers are so stupid. Clearly if they understood how to motivate him he'd be the next Jerry Rice. Whoever picks him up is getting a steal. /sarcasm, don't overreact. SouperMeister 11-23-2010, 10:02 PM Just shows how little VC knows about drafting talentMy exact thought upon hearing this latest news. Thomas clearly has physical talent, but he needs to learn how to prepare like a pro if he wants to remain one. wilsowilso 11-24-2010, 02:30 AM Tripp's ego grew ten times today As much as I like Tripp he was not the only poster around here who saw right into the void of that "heart of glass" garbage player right from the start. Then again I did start a thread saying Jim Zorn was a great coach so...........yeah I got nothing. Have a great holiday everyone! #56fanatic 11-24-2010, 08:57 AM I wouldn't jump the gun on Carolina cutting Devin. This is the same organization that signed a guy off the street to start against the Ravens instead of playing a guy (Tony Pike) that has been with them since day 1. Also the same organization that gave big money to DeAngelo Williams, then drafts Stewart in the first round. Also gave money to Matt Moore, then drafts two QB's, Clauson in the 2nd, and Pike in the 6th. Trust me, living in Charlotte, NC this organization is absolutely clueless. The people around here hate the owner, coach and personel group. Oh, and they drafted Armani Edwards in the 2nd round when all the NFL draft day experts had him either being drafted between the 6th and 7th, or possibly not being drafted at all. Mind you, they also gave up a 3rd rounder to move up and get Edwards in the 2nd. Plus the dude hasn't even seen the field. I would guess Devin will get a chance to play somewhere next year. Santana said the kid has a ton of talent. Maybe he'll focus more and put more time into playing football. |
