Hey guys I think one thing we need to do right now is operate on LC toe. We all agree that clearly he has not been the same since his toe injury. And its clear now that surgery is the only way to make it heal completly. So I say we deactivate him right now and have the surgery. The season is already gone. Plus the rehab is reallll long, something like 6 months. By having surgery now Coles will be fully healthy by training camp, and he'll be a legit deep threat again next year. What do you guys thinK?

The problem is it could end his career. I'd say surgery or trade Mr. Coles. Take your pick.

I think you have to take the risk, and hope it goes well and doesnt end his career. We've got other receivers to use for the rest of the season

It's not just his toe. He dislocated his finger also. I think that's also contributing towards him dropping a lot of passes this year. I vote for him sitting out the rest of the season to get surgery/healed up. We have Jacobs and McCants to fill in while he's out. Gardner (Mr. 50/50), Thrash, Jacobs and McCants are a pretty good receiving corp.

Coles won't volunteer to be taken out so the coachs are really in a bind right now. How can they really know how bad it is? I agree that it's not just his toe, but his dislocated finger and other injuries would have sidelined most other recievers. He is Ramseys goto guy and I'm sure the coaches know that. Even with the problems, he is our top receiver. Yes, the season is over, but we can still get stronger in prep for next year. Coles can get surgery after the season if he needs it and miss a little bit of trainig camp and be OK. I'm sure that he is being tended to very well by the training staff.

I asked this in another thread so I'll ask it here again:
Just how do you propose to force someone to have surgery if he does not choose to submit to it?
And if you try to do that, just how do you maintain "team chemistry"?
