SmootSmack 01-20-2011, 12:32 PM he did? curse you steve czaben!!! Maybe Czaban was talking about his first mock? I mean I'm sure Kiper may change his opinion several times between now and April as more info comes in T.O.Killa 01-20-2011, 12:54 PM Agreed, Locker reeks of Jeff George or Patrick Ramsay futility. All the physical tools for the job but can't get it done for a win.. PASS Jake Locker played on an absolutly terrible team. Anyone that watchs the games will see that his offensive line is the horrible and his recievers get no seperation. He does not compare to either Jeff George, he has all the intangibles, or Patrick Ramsey, he runs a 4.4 forty and has a rocket for an arm. Ramsey ran a 5 second forty at best and looked like he was wearing concrete shoes. Locker is a QB that has the, feet the arm, the leadership and the desire to be a great QB. I would be shocked if Shannahan passes him up, if he is there. He is an exact match to what Shannahan likes in a QB. I would like to see us sign Marc Bulger and let him work behind him for two or three years and let him develop like Aron Rogers did. skinsfaninok 01-20-2011, 01:08 PM Jake Locker played on an absolutly terrible team. I agree with everything you just said EXCEPT Bulger, he's old and a backup at best now.. Rex is the guy next yr might as well accept it.. Plus Marc is supposedly going to oakland diehard 01-20-2011, 01:12 PM Kiper is the best. What a great guy. He's the same in person (and over the phone) talking to the average joe about the draft. I'll buy his publication again this year to show support.. Chico23231 01-20-2011, 01:16 PM Maybe Czaban was talking about his first mock? I mean I'm sure Kiper may change his opinion several times between now and April as more info comes in I dont think so, pretty sure it was his final mock...not the first time ive heard wrong info from the morning show. It was just shocking stat...should have known better. Kiper is the man, but I really like the dynamic Espn created between McShay and Kiper, good format and they mix it up well. Yeah, they're wrong then. Kiper had 8 right and I think McShay might have had 9 in their final mocks warriorzpath 01-20-2011, 04:42 PM I think the better approach to evaluating film, especially with a qb, would be: to NOT ONLY watch highlights but also look at he does from play to play in a game and also watch the situational plays that are critical to winning like redzone or plays with blitzes. How does the qb handle himself then? Lotus 01-20-2011, 04:53 PM I think the better approach to evaluating film, especially with a qb, would be: to NOT ONLY watch highlights but also look at he does from play to play in a game and also watch the situational plays that are critical to winning like redzone or plays with blitzes. How does the qb handle himself then? Crucial. Youtube highlights tend to showcase only the good plays. To see the troublesome plays, you need to watch the game in its natural flow. |
