We will take Jake Locker, if he is there unless he totally screws up the combine.

From what I've seen the only time Shanahan cares about character is when it relates to football. Like when Haynesworth complains about the switch to the 3-4 or when McNabb won't change his mechanics even though he's responsible for a huge decrease in the worm population near Ashburn and Landover. Plus he can't be any worse then Brandon Marshall when it comes to character

I agree, and I'm not that familiar w/Baldwin but it sounded like he would be an issue for coaches in that all too familiar diva wr way. Marshall is an interesting case, maybe Shan. didn't know much about him coming out of his small school in the 4th round. I don't think he would've tolerated Marshall's antics if both were still in Denver.

When D. thomas was cut, the wash pst. reported that Shanahan didn't like his bravado & bad practice habits. They said he preferred players that were quiet & don't draw attention to themselves. With that in mind & from what we've seen of Shan. so far, I don't see him taking a liking to Baldwin.

In short, "character" issues w/wide recivers so often manifest in football, many of them are me first & disruptive. From what I read seems Baldwin could become that guy.

C) Wisniewski ( Penn ST. ) or C) Pouncey ( UF ) would be nice picks , maybe have to find a team that would want to trade up , as both should be around mid/late 1st Rd.

He's not that impressive. That would be,IMHO, a wasted pick.

I think I mentioned it a few weeks back, but from what I had heard the Redskins don't (not now at least) plan on addressing their WR need through the draft. Not in the first couple of rounds at least

And that's a wise move. We've got other areas to focus on besides WR.

Not all of us have insider

"Washington RedskinsRecord: 6-10* Cam Newton, QB, Auburn
A gifted athlete, Newton has good arm strength and size, has developing accuracy and continues to show that the more you ask him as a passer, the more he'll develop. This spot might be a bit high based on his current grade in the eyes of scouts, but Newton's skill-set is such that personnel people are going to become more enamored, if they already aren't. Newton has character questions that need to be answered, but the Redskins have a long-term need at this position and the prospect of developing Newton is a tantalizing one."

I feel like Cam Newton has bust written all over him.

Please pick Prince Amurakura from NE. He'll be our best CB since Champ.

Cowboys, Denver or SF will pick him before the Redskins have a chance.
