Orakpo is playing his first year in a 3-4. Give him time to fully digest the system. While Orakpo only managed 1.5 sacks after the bye, it should be no surprise that that's about the same time that Landry went down. Add another rush linebacker and just imagine what could happen. Orakpo we'll be a star in this defense, if the front office will give Haslett enough time to develop it.

Those who like Cam Newton in 2011 should have a look at this:

Auburn coach Gene Chizik did not elaborate early Tuesday on what could be a significant injury to quarterback Cam Newton in Monday night's championship game

Good. One more reason for the Skins to think about NOT drafting him.

I'm a big Kellan Moore fan too. He's either going to be the next Drew Brees or the next Ty Detmer. It's almost impossible to forecast which one he'll be more akin to.

He'll be good, believe me. He's very very smart. Supposedly he studies film like Peyton Manning. He studies Boise's play book so well that he not only knows what he's supposed to do, but were the FB is supposed to be, or which OLineman blocks which guy in which ever coverage for example.

The knock on him is a couple things.

1) He's short and frail. True, but he's the same height as Drew Brees and about the same weight.

2) He doesn't have a strong arm. False. I watched him throw a 60 + yard pass to Titus Young so accurate to where only Titus could catch it, and it was in perfect stride.

3) He doesn't have a quick delivery. I don't know about this one, some passes he'll float some in the air and you'll be like "Ohh that could have been picked" other passes he'll throw it like Ryan Mallet and you'll say "Damn that was a bullet"

I know a lot of people on this board is going to think I'm crazy or stupid for saying this, but if I were Shanahan, I wouldn't bother with a QB this year (unless Mallet falls to us, Locker is there in the second, or Luck just miraculously decides that he does want to go pro) and I would just draft other players of need. And in the 2012 draft, I would get Moore at whatever cost (unless we're in perfect position to get Luck, which I can't foresee happening.)

I think if we take a QB, the 2nd round pick would probably be best used to vs the talent that will be there. I think Mallet is worth a look at 10...everyone else probably not. Mallet probably will be gone.

If there has every been a year to trade down out of the 10th, its this year.

There isn't really a QB worth a second round pick. Let's look at the facts, if a guy like Colt McCoy is going to fall to the third round then we can easily expect that next tier of Dalton, Devlin, and Ponder to be there as late as the fourth round.

I mean be honest, do you really expect to read a headline like this one day?

Well Michael Floyd won't be entering the draft and, Blackmon is expected to officially announce he's returning to Oklahoma State later today. So that's two WRs off the board

Leaving us with AJ Green (haha) or Johnathan Baldwin if we want to go the receiver route on draft day.
