If you are happy with that win Matty, then you must feel real good about this game. I'm sure you are full of confidence right?
The fact is if we had won by 21 points you would bet your house on this game but because of the way we "won" you can't be so sure. That is why I say a win is not a win. The way you win tells the true story.
The truth is nobody knows what to expect from McNabb. Yes, we beat the Eagles, but they shut McNabb down for the last 3 quarters of football. I say that continues for the next 4 quarters.
A win is not a win. It's the way you win.
Yes I'm happy with our 4 wins. That equals our win total from last year and puts us on track for 8-8, which is what I expected for this season.
We're not going to the SB this year, so perhaps some need to adjust their expectations a bit. Some seem to have this SB or bust mentality, and if we're not blowing teams out the season is a failure, not sure what that thinking accomplishes really and it's only going to leave you disappointed.
I'm no more confident about this game than I was the first time around. And probably no more confident than any level headed Eagles fan. Division game, at home, to think that we have no shot is a little out of touch.

44ever, Vick is playing his best, no doubt this year we've seen him put it all together. But his game has a serious downside in that he's always been injury prone. I'm certainly not saying I want to see him hurt but the more a defense hits him in a game the more likely he is to get hurt, fumble or throw picks. This is obviously the case w/any qb, but w/Vick his game is much more reckless and defenses can capitalize on it.
I disagree that the iggles would've won that game w/Vick, who knows if they would've? Monday's game will be interesting because our D is starting to find itself & Haslett has found some packages (nickel) that work.

I just want to see consistency bro. I'm not expecting a SB. I am happy with the team overall this year. But I'm just being realistic with my expectations against the Eagles. HTTR.
Well as we've seen so far, we've been consistently inconsistent. Seems like that's going to be the norm for this year, so buckle up and get ready for some more non-wins and losses.

I hear you man, In fact our D played well the last game vs them. If we can put points on the board in every quarter I will be happy W or L. I just don't wan't to see us shut down again. I also want to beat them convincingly, not because their QB went out.
If we lose, I want to be able to say, "I seen some additional improvements that made me happy" Like we have seen with Banks and a few others. I want to see consistent improvement across the board. Thats all Im asking for at this point.
I would love to see our D shut Vick down! That would set things off nice for the rest of the season.

What sucks is that should we lose every idiot who can't respect the fact we beat the Eagles in a hard fought game earlier this year will be like "see I told you that game was a fluke"
I'm certainly not going to say it was a fluke. That's just a ridiculous statement. But Vick going out was a huge break for us and it was a factor in us winning the game. We still almost lost it with Kolb in there.

We were up 14-0 when Vick left the game. I remain unclear how the Eagles' losing a qb who had led the offense to zero points was a "huge break" for us.
The only relatively objective yardstick for judging the Vick-Eagles vs. the Skins is that 14-0 score. Everything else is just speculation.
I grant that Vick is having a great year. But some folks here are turning Vick into a superman which Vick is not.

How about John Feinstein should be fired for being inflamatory and making the race issue worse in this country.
