Non-Redskins related but Shanahan related.

Brandon Marshall is the third most targeted receiver in the NFL (87 times). He has one receiving touchdown and is once again under 12 yards per catch. Going to have another 100 catch -- 1,000 yard receiving season again, and his team will miss the playoffs in part because their big-time receiver acquisition disappears inside the red zone and can't move the chains in the rest of the field.

In completely unrelated news, the Redskins need to go after Chad Henne who has been a nice performer for the Dolphins, but is now taking a backseat to Chad Pennington in part because the Dolphins can't score in the red zone.

Henne's TD rate on all passes not thrown to Brandon Marshall this year is a respectable 3.7% (season rate: 2.7%; Marshall 1.1%), which means that he should have two more TDs than he actually has (and probably another win to boot) except that Brandon Marshall sucks as a football receiver.

I think Henne is solid but not a "Franchise" QB, he actually reminds me of Campbell in a way.

I still say 5 will be here next season. We do need a young QB though

But as a take him or leave him proposition this season...yeah, they're more or less the same player. One has a sack problem, the other has an INT problem.

We could still use either though. Henne in particular, because a guy with a quick release could be productive behind this inconsistent line.

So the Dolphins took Beck as the QB of the future in the 2nd round...and now he's on our roster. Then the Dolphins took Henne as their QB of the future in the 2nd round, after deciding Beck wasn't the answer.

I don't know if the battle of the discarded Dolphin QBs is going to solve anything for us

Yea I agree, Henne just seems to damn predictable when he throws. I just hope Dmac starts balling and we will be fine for another year or 2 at QB
