JaMarcus Russell to Meet with Redskins (http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/sports/nfl/101102-jamarcus-russell-washington-redskins)
Personally I say why not? He's no risk/high reward.

Yeah, I agree. Initially I thought, "No way.," but after thinking about it for a couple minutes, why not? The bye week is perfect time to take a free look-see with no risk.

I suppose there's no harm in doing so, but does anyone really think this guy can be an NFL quarterback?
And please nobody bring up the mcnabb benching in this thread.. no way this is related.

You can't question his raw talent, if he gets his head on straight he could be scary good. If he's dedicated to doing that, he could be a steal for somebody. For a minimal deal I wouldn't hesitate to give him a shot, especially if someone is vouching for him like Lucas.

Nice joke Halloween is over guys.
It appears it will be a........spirited bye week
He's obviously not a short term solution, he would need to sit for a year or two. Having a mentor like McNabb certainly wouldn't hurt.

So if they do sign him, is it Beck or Grossman who will be gone?

Is this JaMarcus Russell that was decent at LSU, or the bloated one who looks like he ate small children and washed them down with purple drank in his final days in Oakland?
It never hurts to look at someone, but this kind of fodder is laughable.
