This is beyond horrible. These decisions reek of Snyder and Cerrato. Sure, another QB with a million dollar arm and a 10 cent brain. No one else in the NFL wants him, so who steps up? The Redskins.
I hope he doesnt sign here. for the love of god can QB stuff get any worse? McNabb is benched, people hate Rex Grossman, and now the reclamation project is Jamarcus Freaking Russell??

So if they do sign him, is it Beck or Grossman who will be gone?
Grossman's body of work in a Skins uniform will be enough for him to keep him on the team.

Originally I thought no, but what the heck, sometimes its the system and the Raiders have had their issues at QB with the system they have now. He just better lose some weight (conditioning) and not go back to the drugs.

To be honest. His regular season body work sucks! He is only around because of his relatonship with Kyle and his supposed knowledge of the offense.
As fas ar Russell, I do not see where he fits at all.

I'd absolutely love if we signed him. From all the comments ive read since oakland cut him, he's really got his head together now. He's never had the benefit of a quality NFL coaching staff, so I think Shanahan could do wonders with him. He's certainly a better long-term project than Beck.

I don't think he has had drug problems, I mean I know that cup of purple drank was found in his house but one of his friends claimed responsibility for it. I think he was just lazy and didn't put in the work or really give a shit in Oakland. If he's working out with a guy and this guy is willing to vouch for him it's gotta mean something. Who knows, maybe he can have a turnaround.
We all thought Mike Williams (Seattle wr) was a massive bust for the longest time, and it was true because he was. But Pete Carroll has given him one more chance and now look at him, he's finally living up to his potential. By the end of the year he'll have good #1 wide receiver numbers I bet.

With John Lucas as his mentor maybe he can become a pretty good Tennis or Basketball player.

There's a lot of fundamental issues with Russell as a QB, and anyone that signs him is likely wasting their time with him, but if you're not competing for a title and are just going to be running out time in the season anyway, there's worse things to do than give Russell a tryout.
