You can have #1 WR production without the issues (Andre Johnson, Fitzgerald, Wayne, Welker etc.) or with issues (Randy Moss, TO, Ochocinco etc.)

The better question is, would we rather continue developing Armstrong, leaning on Moss (Santana) for however long we have him and improving our depth through the draft or renting Moss for a year with all his known issues? And just to keep things in perspective, McNabb was finding people when the OL gave him more than 2 seconds to get rid of the ball.

Would Randy Moss help? Undoubtedly, but is he worth all the additional baggage? Not for me, but that's just my 2 cents

Like I said before, RM catches the balls Galloway missed. I think we win at least one more game with him, and over the next 8 games, that would mean a 9-7 record versus and 8-8. I think it's likely that RM opens the field up a lot more than AA or Santana does, and that benefits Cooley, Davis, even the line because fewer blitzes are likely (or we will burn more teams when they send the blitz). I think we have a good shot at him if we put a waiver claim in.

Moss obviously isn't a long term solution, he's probably a 1 year rental at this point. Personally I wouldn't want to give him a 3 year deal, he's not worth the headaches, and honestly he's past his prime.

Santana would still be the best Moss on the team, but Randy would be an upgrade over Galloway.

Mort just said on espn that 4 teams that are most likely to land Moss are Rams, Redskins, Raiders and Chiefs.

I think it is clear that what created this mess with the Vikings is Moss wants like hell to be on a playoff team that has superbowl possibilities. He is getting old and desperately wants a ring.
If he is not on a SB team, which the Vikes have a losing record and Farve is now hurt, so Moss deliberately sabotaged the situation with the Vikings in order to get released.
FYI - the four teams you and Mort listed above, none of them are legitimate SB contenders, so Moss will not want to go there.

Tomorrow should be an interesting day with Merriman and Moss both on the waiver wire.

Adam S.

Chargers releaed LB Shawne Merriman and placed Buster Davis on IR. Let the guessing on Merriman begin. Mine? Miami. about 1 hour ago via web

Out of those 4 team its a close call to where he would want to end up.

KC is prob the best team with the most certin QB outlook/play, a New England like GM but theyre in the AFC - which is the hardest confrence.

Rams have what seems like a young decent group of talent comeing togather with what should be decent WR's for next year and going foward - which is a good thing for Moss

I dont see him wanting anything to do with Oakland

Redskins have what should/could be the most proven QB under center and a simular coach that Moss enjoyed with his time in NE. But we prob have the most amount of question marks in regards to our new offensive and defensive system, as well as who our QB will be next year if McNabb wants to be a free agent. We are also in what is usually the hardest division in the NFC.

If i were him it would be KC, Redskins, Rams, and then sit out and take my chances with the new CBA next year.

Plus, if he clears waivers, they still have to pay the remaining $3 million left on his contract this season while the team that gets him can pay him the minimum.

He will not clear waivers. He will not get past us. No chance.

quick question, if we claim moss of waivers...does that mean we're last on the waiver wire with merriman?
