No this thread is not a response to us losing to the lions, or the mcnabb benching. I just love to predict the future. I predict that there will be a big roster turnover next year. Next year is a key year for many players to be cut, not-resigned, traded, resigned, or extended. These are the players I feel have potential to receive a contract-change of some sort.

People whose contracts are expiring (according to the salary cap section on this website)
McNabb- I know his numbers do not reflect it, but I feel he is doing a great job and just has little talent around him to work with. He is a winner, and I would be upset if we did not extend him by at least 2-3 more years. I think he gets a 2-3 year deal done.
McIntosh- I hope he gets a new contract, but I have a feeling he will be seeking a huge payday that I hope he does not get. I think he will stick around.
Rabach- He is junk, and does not deserve to stick around, but we have so many o-line problems I think he will get a short-term low-money deal.
Sellers- He is productive but very old. I think he gets a 1 year deal.
Brown- I think he gets extended, but hope it will not be big money. He is still hurt, and we do not know how he will do next year.
Heyer- Gets a backup deal
Moore- Gets a backup deal
Doughty- Gets a backup deal
Golston- Gets a backup deal
Blades- Gets a backup deal

People who have potential to be cut/traded
Haynesworth- I personally do not think he will be cut or traded. Our D-line i too bad, and nobody will give up high draft picks for a 30 year old 350 lb man with attitude issues. We need his impact, he is here to stay next year.
Dockery-Gone, is due 5 mil and isnt even starting over our POS guards.
Carter- I'm 50-50 on him, I need to see how the new CBA is going to be structured to see if he will stick around. He is not close to worth his contract, but it is a net loss if we cut him and I am not sure but I think he might be the best option to start.
Kelly-Gone, not good, supposedly poor work ethic, and injury prone.

People who might be up for an extension or demand a trade if they do not get.
Landry- is entering his 5th year and if he keeps it up will be coming off an all-pro year.
Rogers- is going to be a 6th year starter that I feel playing solid football who is making 1 mil his last year.

There are also many journeymen on our team right now such as...buchanon, lichtensteiger, hicks, etc... I honestly have no idea what their contract situation is like, if there are any other journeymen FA's next year we can get to do better, and therefore have no idea what we will do with them.

I predict there will be alot of comings and goings in the offseason. I'm really stepping out on a limb on this one.

I think we are in a bit of a rebuilding phase and the coaches know it. They're smart, they know. It was a busy offseason last year and will be again this year. We've got more holes than draft picks. So we may see some FA's this year too. I don't know about McNabb. I was guessing yes, then now maybe no. Portis is gone, if i had to guess.

Hopefully we'll focus on: Center, Nose Tackle, Guard, RB, WR, damn that's alot. Maybe CB too.

Barring a lockout, I predict that in the upcoming off-season:

1. We will draft players;
2. We will sign some free-agents; and
3. Cut some veterans.

Further, I predict that some of the players we draft, sign or cut in the off-season will be offensive or defensive players.

This thread would have been better timed next Monday, with the bye week and no football game to discuss from the prior weekend.

I'll throw in my thoughts here in a couple of days.

If we're going to discuss anyone's offseason this early, it should be Dallas'.

They're the first team to officially call 2010 a lost season.

We're still in good shape. We've made improvements and progress and will make more in the second half.

Please go, Rabach.

Wow,

I figured this was a look at last year's offseason and the predictions right or wrong. Are we really getting a thread about the next off season with 8 games to play. Ridiculous.

Like GTripp said, maybe next week.

Hey guys, on behalf of the NFLPA, I wanted to encourage you to have your voice heard and try to participate in the most important decision that can be handed down in the offseason: ending the lockout.

As I'm sure a lot of you know, we're under 100 days away from the termination of the current CBA. We'd like you and all other fans to sign your names to this petition (at nfllockout.com) to prove to the owners just how strong the outcry is for football next year.
