We're an 8-8 team. I have made peace with that, you should too.
We are who we thought we were an 8-8 team, I totally agree....still love my Skins we'll make some moves and be ready next year. This year is all about pride..

Man I'm so tired of the what ifs and we're lucky crap this year.

Luck has a way of evening out, hence we're 4-4.

With all that has happened thus far, this is the best team we've had in a long time. We have some incredible play makers and just need to gel. The one thing that can destroy this team is DRAMA. If we win we need to win with the same men on the field. If we lose we need to lose with the same men on the field. Pulling DM is just asking for trouble.

Hopefully the bye will give everyone a chance to regroup and get on the same page. It would be nice to see us pull all this talent together and play as a team.

The O line stinks but they can step it up!!! This is where Shanny should be cracking the whip!!! IMO.

Well, a few things go the Colts way and they blow us out in that game.

We're lucky Dallas is stupid and doesn't take a knee right before halftime. We're lucky Mason Crosby doinked one off the upright. We're lucky Cutler is stupid enough to keep forcing the ball to the WR D-Hall is covering.... You can go all day with this stuff.

Truth be told, it's just football. As Skins fans we just end up talking about the luck factor so often because we're always in close, grind it out, cardiac style games.

You can say we could easily be 6-2. You can say we could easily be 2-6. What we are is right in the middle. But I think this team is closer to a 2-6 version than a 6-2.

Oh and btw to call our offensive line average is one of the nicest compliments I've heard in weeks.

Sure, you could make the argument for just about any team in any game that luck played a part of it. I'm just wondering why it is that Skins fans when we were losing close games to start last year it was we suck, we're the worst franchise, let's rent a van and shout our displeasure. But this year when we win close games it's well we're just lucky

We are actually lucky to be 4/4 at this point. The only thing keeping us in games is the turn overs. Its a building process. SS I thought the Lions beat us up pretty good today.

How so? We SHOULD have won the Texans game and could have won the Colts game. Up until yesterday, the only game we clearly deserved to lose was the Rams game.

It is sad that the 2 games we most clearly lost were St. Louis and Detroit. It leaves still wondering about the Skins playing up/down to the expected level of their competition. They came out, and in the first series, McNabb fell down or was knocked down on each play. I expect that we will see a much better performance against the Eagles, but also expect that these 2 losses specifically will mess us up, IF we get into the playoff race... (cue Mora's PLAYOFFS)

St. Louis is also 4-4. I think we can stop now with crying over that loss. They're on par with us right now.

St. Louis is also 4-4. I think we can stop now with crying over that loss. They're on par with us right now.I think, speaking on the whole, we're a little bit better than St. Louis is. At home, that loss would have been inexcusable. On the road, it falls more along the lines of "unfortunate".

This Lions team could have been competitive with us at home, had we played them there. If we're an average football team, they are a good team. They are better than we are in the trenches on both sides of the ball, and have a lot more playmakers than we do.

We're a bad offense w/o Portis. If we get Portis back, I think we can compete. I don't know, however, what that really says about next year when Portis is 30.

J.I. Halsell pointed out that the cap values of all players on Detroit's offense was a greater total than the cap values of the starting offense and defense of the Redskins.

I'm sure that's not true if you add in Haynesworth, of course, but seriously, that's not a low budget operation we just lost to. The Raiders and Lions have been picking at the very top of the draft since 2005, and look at what those teams are doing to their mediocre opponents right now. 40 point complete efforts led by stars like McFadden, Suh, Calvin Johnson, and...Heyward-Bey?
