Crocodile on plane kills 19 passengers | News.com.au (http://www.news.com.au/travel/news/crocodile-on-a-plane-kills-19/story-e6frfq80-1225942045322)
So this article isn’t as cool as the headline implicates, but I think its still parking lot worthy.
I had a baby alligator about 6 years ago I ordered online (impulse/drunk purchase). Even though it was the coolest pet ive ever had they cannot be domesticated, at least mine couldn’t. Snaps was the meanest/cutest thing you’ve ever seen and all he wanted to do was kill all day long. You would walk by his tank and he would hit the glass and open his mouth and his, mind you he was just a baby.

So what did you do with snaps?I bet he flushed it down the toilet. Now it stalks the sewers eating sanitation workers and the homeless and only a busty scientist and a jaded ex-cop can stop it.

Unfortunately Snaps passed away about 2 years after I got him. He was about 8 inches when I first got him and grew to about 2 feet, half of which was tail. My roommate at the time had a really big tank that was cracked so we turned it into a half land half water tank for Snaps. For the land part I used chicken wire and covered it with pebbles. When I was cleaning out his tank for the last time I learned the chicken wire was rusted out, so we think he died of rust poising. If he had lived another 2-3 months we had made plans to take him to South Carolina for release, but he got sick and died pretty quick.
Having animals like this for a pet is just dumb.

Oh yeah, without a doubt it was a horrible idea.
I was pretty young at the time and didnt really think it through. It was fun having him and the American Alligator is supposed to be one of the most docile of the crocodilian family but the thing was absolutely nuts. Caimans are supposed to be the craziest, but theyre the smallest so a lot of people try to keep them as pets. All but 1 crocidiles are saltwater, plus most types of crocs are pretty crazy so they make terrible pets too. I was told with daily handling he would become somewhat used to humans. Completely not true. He was nice for the first month, but went outright crazy from there on out.
What was weird about it is that he was as smart as or less smart then a snake, but has a face and 4 legs so at first you think that it must be a little smarter. Everything was pure reactionary and instinct with him. Kill and eat was the only thing he knew. Even if he couldn’t eat anymore he would continue to kill and attack anything that was alive or looked alive. Snaps never got big enough to hurt anyone, but he could just break the skin. He was able to eat a small mouse by the end of his days, but could kill pretty much anything you put in his cage, even if it was too big to eat.
Screw snakes on a plane, how about crocs on a plane?

That's how I want to die...fleeing a croc in an enclosed space, then being taken down by a panic.

So was Snaps killed?
I had piranha when Iwas younger and their tank was right next to my bed, usually you feed them once a week. I knew when it was time to feed them becasue when Iwake up they be at the end of their tank staring at me.
