Oh wow! Portis and LaDainian Tomlinson! That would be fierce!!
Seriously though, can Dockery play LT and we find a LG? I know that Dockery hasn't exaclty been lighting the world on fire with his guard play but maybe he's more suited for tackle
Dockery at tackle? I don't know man. It seems like he lacks the footwork to be a tackle. He's already having a hard time playing guard. How about trying Dockery out at Center?
I think I remember hearing that if Coles has this surgery, the rehab time is 18 months. We would have to shut him down now and all of next season.
Something tells me that's not gonna happen.

We need talent at the WR positions. Coles is not enough. If you watch good to avg teams the CB's are respecting the speed & talent of the WR & giving them a cushion. Our WR's are getting jammed & doubled off the line leaving Ramsey to check off to his 3rd & possibly 4th option. Which usually equates to a lower pass completion percentage.
Plus they are playing with very low confidence.
The D kept the Steelers below 20 points which was great, but the offense just simply sucked!!!
With no respect being given to the WR's it's not difficult to keep Portis under control. I'd like to see the Skins get a above avg. QB sometime in the near future.....

Dockery has improved his footspeed from "snail" to slightly above "three-fingered tree sloth", but that's still a far cry from what is needed to pivot and move with outside speed rushers like Simeon Rice. Heck, Samuels is fairly nimble for a guy his size, but even he is too slow to handle most pass rushers with even a hint of a decent outside speed rush.
Unfortunately for the Skins, left guard really is the best position for Dockery. Unfortunately for him, I think the Skins might be looking to replace him this offseason-- or at least provide him with some worthy competition. That competition may already be on the roster, in fact, with Molinaro being groomed by Bugel as a potential guard. But I expect Bugel will want another offseason to work with Dockery and see if he can squeeze some improvement out of that gigantic mass of potential, so I don't see Dockery going anywhere. I do expect to see at least a couple more potential starting linemen coming in via free agency or the draft, to provide depth at a minimum, and replace Dockery and/or Raymer if possible.
Gardner isn't going to have much trade value so I say keep him around for another year and let him walk when his contract is up.
In the meantime possibly use our first rounder on a WR, all depends on who's available of course. Someone said Coles is not enough and I agree, we need playmakers.
On the line I agree with JC's assessment, an upgrade at center is definitely needed. I think Bugel will continue to try to develop Dockery. Wilson and Molinaro will continue to be groomed with Wilson more ready for immediate action than Molinaro. I expect we'll use another draft pick on a later round O-lineman.

i know there's no way coles gets the surgery, but even with 18 months, he needs it bad... he's just not the guy we thought we were getting right now.
