I was looking at the schedule as I routinely do...lol

And noticed that the next 4 weeks are going to be absolutely huge for this Redskins team,to take advantage of the schedule we have. All 3 teams in the Giants,Redskins and Eagles draw bye weeks during this time and I love the set up.

If we can take care of business against the Bears and Lions on the road, which won't be easy...but certainly winnable games..we have a chance at taking the flag at the final turn.

Currently we are in 3rd place in the Division.
Giants are 4-2
Eagles are 4-2
Redskins are 3-3
and Dallas is 1-4

As much as I don't want to admit to it,I believe we want the Cowboys to beat the Giants and here's why.

The redskins have a chance to go 5-3 before the Bye week..if we can beat the bears and Lions.

The Giants play @Dallas,then have a bye...Then they go @Seattle, which I think Seattle can win cause we all know they always play like SB contenders at Quest field lol. Then the Giants face Dallas again but at home...Those are 3 games they very well can & and might lose. That would drop there record to 4-5 and being swept by Dallas and 0-2 in the division.

Dallas has the Giants, then they have Jacksonville, then they play @ Green bay, then @ Giants again...If Dallas could sweep the Giants, that would give them 3 wins there...If they somehow could lose either the jags or packers game, they would be tied with the same record as the Giants with a 4-5 overall record and at best...5-4 at best and a 3-6 at worse and still sweeping the giants.

The Eagles have @Tennessee then a bye week. Then they play the Colts and then our Redskins on Monday Night. They easily could lose all 3 games and a loss against us on Monday Night gives us a seep over them and they have a 4-5 record just like the Giants and possibly Cowboys.

A best case scenario could look like this...
So the standing would look like this after week 10...
Redskins 6-3 (3-0 in Division) and 6-1 in Conference with sweep over Eagles
Giants 4-5 (0-2 in Division) and 3-3 in Conference while swept by Dallas
Eagles 4-5 (0-2 in Division) and a 3-3 in Conference while swept by Skins
Cowboys 3-6 (2-1 in Division) and a 2-4 Conference while swept Giants

Crazy..Isn't it?
Well, that's how it will look if we win our next 3 games over Bears,Lions and Eagles
Dallas beats Giants both times and loses to G.B. and Jaguars
Eagles lose to Titans,Colts and Skins

Obviously, the toughest part is us winning 3 games in a row..lol:):)

Dallas beating the Giants twice very well could happen as the giants don't play them very well. Going @ G.B could see a loss for Dallas...The wild card is that Dallas and Jacksonville game..But we can still hope for dallas to play like we know they can in this one..lol

I can see the eagles losing the next 3 easily..with Kolb or Vick..

Now why would this be huge at this part of the schedule?
Because that very next week in week 11,we have the Redskins @ Tennessee
Detroit @ Dallas
and the Giants @ Eagles matchup

One or the other in the Giants/Eagles gives 1 team 3 losses in the division in a loss here. We probably root for an eagles win here because we would have the sweep over them. It would also be their 1 division win, while we have 3 still....

So even if we lost to @Tennessee and were 6-4 and eagles win and go 5-5...we still carry a 1 game 1/2 lead over them with a sweep. Giants are in trouble here with a 4-6 record here and 0-3 in the division. (haven't even played us yet!)

We beat the Titans and that would make things even sweeter going 7-3.

Your not crazy by thinking we could win our next 3 games, heck I think we will! At worst 2-1

I think we will too skinsfaninok..

I'm actually more concerned with the Lions game than the Bears game.
But the bears game is the more important game to win...

Lions will not be in the hunt for a playoff spot at the end of the year,so a loss to them would not decide a head-to-head 5th or 6th wild card seed. (if it came to that)

The bears game very well could, since the bears started off so well.

We want this bears game bad, for this reason alone..

we've played 6 games so far and 5 of them could have gone either way until the last 30 seconds or so of the game. the only team that wasnt competitive until the end was when we lost to the horrible rams.

there's not a team on our schedule the rest of the year i think we can feel confident about beating. similarly, there's not a team we'll face the rest of the year I don't think we could pull out a win against. this team is not one we can make any sort of rational predictions about.

You must find yourself very amusing; you "lol'd" 5 times in 2 posts.

That would be a pretty sweet scenario, but I do not see Dallas sweeping the Giants this year. They would be lucky to get a W.

My only thought is that (though it sickens me to say this), I think the Eagles are going to be really really good this year. The younger guys are stepping up and, once MV is back, they become potentially the most dangerous offensive team in the league. Too Too many weapons. I think they beat Tennessee easily and likely beat the Colts in Philly.

It would set up a HUGE monday night game if (a big IF) we win both games before the bye.

It sickens me to say it - trust me, you don't know how much - but I think Philly is the best team in the Division.

Joe, you may be right, but on one hand I find that they are flawed as well. I do not think they will be able to handle the Colts offense. Defense is their weak spot, and honestly it will be interesting to see how well their new LT handles Freeney. If I recal they also play that game at Indy, which will make that road game tough to ho.

We have a chance to win evry game left on our schedule, and we will just have to see how this whole division plays out. Way to early to say we have a 2 game lead at week 10.

This is the NFC East we are talking about and it is wide open. We are one game out, and Dallas is still only 3 1/2. It is a long year and we all still have 10 games to play. Alot can happen in that time frame.
