Our draft. This is somthing that dosent get discussed that often. Now understand I'm not jumping the gun on this kid, but Wilson really looked very good yesterday. I know that can change very quickly, but it was nice to see the rookie in there doing a good job. Molinaro(sp) has done some defensive line work for us, although VERY limited, still has been in there a little bit. Cooley and Taylor are pretty obvious. We always talk about how we should build through the draft, I think Gibbs has done a good job starting that this season. Agree or disagree?

I agree. Cooley has played really well this year, and probably has the best hands on the team. Taylor is slowly coming around. Did you see that hit yesterday? I mean he came out of nowhere and laid that guy out. We haven't had a hard hitting safety like that in a long time. Wilson did play solid yesterday. I was very impressed with his footwork.

Absolutly! Big reason why we may be able to dump Samuel's salary to overcome the Brunell debacle, Wilson and Molinaro could turn out to be starter's by next season, it is also why I say stay away from the high priced free agent's let's use the draft this year to address all of our need's a powerful center should be first on our list, I just feel our problem's all lead back to 1 thing our O-line they cannot run block, and so long that's the case this offense will never move the ball I still can't believe they are that bad, by dealing our top 5 pick and trading off Samuels, Gardner, and Morton, we should be able to bring in quite a few player's from the draft, plus by dealing down we stay a way from the mega buc's contract, I think it's the way we have to go, we have to address the O-line bottom line!

I think if we could trade samuels or morton that would be great so we wouldn't have to take the huge cap hit but I'm betting no other team wants that rediculous cap hit by samuels. Also getting rid of Burnell and Barrow would be nice too.

Last years' draft crop is looking pretty good so far. Taylor should be a force next year. Cooley has been impressive from the start and should continue to grow. Wilson looked good yesterday, still too early to tell on Molinaro and he's more of a project anyway.

The undrafted FA's have also shown some potential.

And best of all... they are all dirt cheap right now ( besides Taylor ).

as much as people like to rag on morton, we could use him... he's had 30 and 50 yard returns (a good deal of 20 yard+), meanwhile thrash and betts just aren't getting it done...

still not sure why our special teams looked soo good during the preseason and have been so inconsistant since...

and unless taylor goes to a pro bowl, he's reasonably cheap for a top 5 pick.

Good job by Gibbs on the draft. Taylor is quickly becoming Probowl material. He lays out some people. Reminds me of Lavar playing safety! Cooley has the best hands on the team maybe.

I'm not too high on Taylor right now. Yes...he's improved a lot in playing his position. But, he got a bone-headed 15 yd penalty against the Steelers last night and I think he had another one called against him a few games back. Until he learns to control his emotions and not get any dumb penalties...I wouldn't consider him a "probowl" material.

samuels and gardner contracts are both up, let them both go and put the money elsewhere, gardner CAN'T catch, and samuels just looks worthless on the field, let McCants or Jacobs take over for gardner (mccants is a rod gardner that can catch) and find a tackle and there will still be money left over
