I am a gambler, and I think he is trade bait unless you see him used extensively tomorrow and throughout the season. THere is no excuse not to. If AH still has an attitude Shanny is going to keep him on the bench and trade him just before the draft or during the draft for picks.

Lol, he's worthless as trade bait now. They need to play him as much as possible so they can make AH look more appealing. The price of a 2nd rounder must be met, and there's no way anyone would give one for AH when the other GMs can land a younger stud from the draft.

Yep, SirCP I completely agree, the only way we get some value out of AH is if he plays very well here going down the stretch. Of course if he does that who knows if he is even traded. Hell he gets a few sacks and the fat man may actually be happy.

Who knows what is going to happen with this clown, but if we don't play him why would anyone give us a can of peas for him. The GMs would all know he is as good as gone by the end of the year anyway, so why not wait and get him in the FA market.

Just my .02.

Now if Vinny Cerrato returns to GM another team we may be able to get 2 1s and 2 2s out of him.

Offseason my friend. They will bench AH for pretty much the whole season, or they will use him sparingly. They want those draft picks badly and he is the only one that would garner extra picks. I know they can't trade him in 2010, but 2011 after the Pro Bowl they will be on the phone trying to set something up for draft 2011.

Uh, sitting him for the rest of the season or playing him sparingly won't increase his trade value, which is what their objective would be if they want to get rid of him after the season. The only way to increase his trade value is to give him plenty of PT and let him improve his value through hard work and good play. They didn't trade him to this point because they weren't getting enough trade value, not because they wanted to keep him on this team out of spite.

I mean why bother continuing to talk about this? Haynesworth is here, and he will play. The only way you won't see him on the field is if he doesn't practice and is inactive, or if he consistently sucks on the field and the coaches pull him.

Why would he be worthless? Someone will take him in exchange for mid round picks.

Shanahan has been stubbornly holding to the 2nd rounder or higher price, or so we're told. It takes two make a transaction, and the seller is not willing to accommodate to a certain group of buyers.

Also, I doubt that many buyers want him for more than a 5th rounder. Decreasing production and injury history? Many will say no thanks to coughing up a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Unless, he can return to some sort of dominance for the rest of the season. Then he becomes a valuable comodity again. The chances are 50 - 50 as to wether this could happen.

I would assume that AH wants to be part of a winning team again and this team has the heart of winners, they just need to fire on all cylinders to accomplish this feat. AH can be an important cylinder in the engine of this teams defense.

If he can start to fire, he would be helpful not only to himself in getting out here but also to the team and being part of a winner.

If he manages to be an intregal part of the team as we make a run at the playoffs in the last 10 games of the season, then it would make the decision of keeping or trading him even harder for MS and BA to make at the end of the year.

There are to many ways this story can still go to make any educated guesses at this point.

The next test for us is the Bears, so lets start there.

I honestly can't believe how hard it is for some to believe that Albert Haynesworth and Mike Shanahan could co-exist peacefully, and that AH could actually make an impact for this team.

Throughout the offseason and despite all the turmoil surrounding him, I always wanted him to stay here because of what he brings to the D, and feared what things would look like if he didn't. But I have to say, in the limited amount of time that AH has seen so far, the product has looked bad whether he's in the lineup or not.

One fact in all this AH drama, he is rested and doesn't have much gametime wear and tear this season.

IF everyone gets on the same page, he could be dominant in the second half of the season and that would be good news for us.

At this point that is what every skins fan should be hoping for.

Ok, since you obviously directed this response to me, let me remind you of a couple of recent developments that do still leave some sort of hope to AH returning to a dominant form in this defense.

His last game against Philly he played very well, get credited for 4 tackle and 2 critical holding penalties. This performance drew praise from our coach in his press conferences.

The last 2 games he missed, 1st his brother passed away and he was excused from the team for the Green Bay game. The second, he missed the implentation of the game plan on Wednsday and did not get back to the team until the Thursday against a superior opponent in the Colts. (BTW we could have won this football game without AH in the lineup just missed on to many opportunities and lost #5's second favorite target to injury in the 4th) I got into a big debate with PocketsStraight as to why AH was held out of the game and that it was the right decision.

He was finally getting some love from coach before his brother's untimely death. He now has a good week and a half of practice under his belt, and I am sure he will be used once again against the Bears.

So for you, Mooby, unless you know MS or AH personally to say that there is no hope for AH and MS to get along is unfounded. You, just like the rest of us need to see how the rest of the season plays out.

I never made any kind of statement of endorsement towards AH, I just basically stated there is still a possibilty of AH to play well.
