Problems w/ Beer Guys?

Anyone have problems with these guys? I've never had problems nor seen anyone have problems till the game last night.

Close to the end of the 3rd quarter when the game started to get good one of the beer guys, real young, looked almost too young to be selling alcohol was up in 428.

We sit close enough where the stairs are, so when people come up, if they take their time or stop and the play is at that end of the field you can't see anything.

Well, the play is down at that end, three rows below me there's an elderly man, about 70 I'd say and the guy selling the beer is standing there watching the game. So he's like hey, can you kneel down (that's what all the others have done all night and previous games.)

The kid literally tells him no, he's trying to sell beer. Stands there for the next two plays, then once we kick the field goal, walks down and doesn't come back up again.

Really PISSED ME OFF. I was brought up not to disrespect elders for one and secondly, if you are blocking someones view, is kneeling down really going to hurt you? Especially when you are that young? I mean you are wrong for standing there in the first place.

I think if that kid pulls that shit again I'm going to complain because it's complete BS that the old man had to stand up to see what was going on. It was only for 2 plays though thankfully. I thought after the first time he said something he'd be nice and kneel, but he stood there like a jackass then walked off, literally seemed like he did it intentionally.

:soapbox:

why is that the beer guys at football games are quiet but at baseball games every team has a couple slef-claimed "famous" funny beer guys throwing ice in the air, etc?

i like those guys, they take pride in their work and dont let the oldschool way of how things were once done get lost. its been a good 10 years since ive seen the peanut guy throwing bags of peanuts 20 rows up to a customer.

Because when you are at a football game there is actually excitement going on; in baseball they need funny beer guys to divert you from the boredom on the field.

There's a guy at Nationals Park who will flick the cold water around on everyone when it's hot. He'll even hand you ice cubes to put down your shirt if you want.

I enjoy baseball and love cheering my Red Sox on but it is no where the excitement I have for football.

Watch the crowd at a baseball game next time, everyone is texting or playing with their phones, it is too funny.

Yeah, sometimes it's nice seeing them get hit by a foul ball too, assuming they aren't injured. Hate when people text at a game, stay at home and watch the game on TV. Well except for the Nationals, we need $$$ for the team haha.
