You don't read carefully do you? Read the thread, read my posts, tell me where I have even talked about the specific situation in the article. Then when your done doing that and you didn't find it go have a nice drink in the fantasy land you live in where the degree a kid gets in college has any value to these kids. They don't go to college to get a degree, they go to play football. Major college football is the minor leagues for pro ball. That's all it is. Oh, and a revenue generator for the schools.

Ok, you just added those as a side bar but when first read it seemed like you refereed to that article. That was what the thread was about but you added the part of the poor mom with 4 kids. It would actually sound better if she had 5 kids because 2 had been shot walking to school. So you really think none of these kids care about a degree or education? Maybe that true and another reason for me to have a few drinks and stay in my fantasy land. Tonight that fantasy land is actually the Chesapeake Bay chasing striper's (thats a fish).

I look at it like speeding. When everyone does it then how can it make you feel bad? It was almost a requirement of the job.

Is it just me or did Mel the Viper cover his sleazy ass by admitting he doesn't know what he's talking about when he rates players?

I had no recognition of it until I was contacted by my agent and by PR," Holmes told ESPNNewYork.com.

Isn't that like saying I forgot all about it until my agent contacted me.

Holmes says doing something like that is not in his character.

LOOOL....so I am to believe that a guy who admitted to selling drugs in street corners, arrested for disorderly conduct, arrested for marijuana possession and suspended by the NFL for violating NFL substance abuse policy has no character flaws that allows him to take money from an agent? He's a god damn liar...I'm pretty sure of it and I am also pretty sure he is protecting his agent.

Ok look at it this way many of these kids are getting a fully paid education with "FREE ROOM and BOARD".....and I know I'm underestimating but that should be worth in the ball park of 30 to 50 thousand a year depending on the school....one hand washs the other.
