A lot of folks say next year is going to be very deep at WR, so we still might be able to get a stud.
Well since it's very obvious the team is not going to go after a proven player, unless they decide to make a move on VJ, they might as well throw another draft pick at another unproven player who has a 50% chance of turning out like Thomas and Kelly.

At this point I think we all know what he's made of.... he sucks, and considering he could not get on the field under two different coaching regime's why would they put him on the field to "see what he's made of" if the season is not over? We are 2-2 and 2-0 in the division. No need throwing away a perfectly good season to throw someone on the field they know is not doing well just so the fans can "see what he's made of."
Unless he's the next super secret the team is holding back to unleash later in the season he's no better then a 5th WR. So no need throwing him out there hoping for something to happen when the coaching staff see's him day in and day out and already know's what he can and can't provide.
Which is why he's not on the field.
So putting Devin Thomas in will make us throw our season away????

Yep. Heard it here first.
Of course not. But if Thomas is not doing something right do you really want to simply throw him into a game that counts just to see what he's made of and possibly have him screw up then and it cost the team?
Trust me I was a big fan of Thomas. I was glad the team picked up 2 WR's cause the ones we had other then Moss were horrid. Kelly can't seem to sniff the field but is happily accepting a paycheck. Time to cut bait there. Thomas I thought would get better. Apparently he has not otherwise he would be on the field.
Because all the excuses have been used up as to why Thomas is not getting on the field, people are now simply saying.... just put him on the field so we can judge if he's good enough.

Other than Moss no other WR is doing anything I know it's only 4 games but it wouldn't cost anything to throw him in their, what's it gonna do take away receptions from Galloway, AA & Williams. Please don't make me laugh.

^ Heck they might as well throw Banks in there as well. Oh wait, sorry they did that in the last game.
Let me ask you this.... would you rather ignore the actual coach's on the team and force Thomas on to the field just to satisfy fans who want to see what Thomas can do or would you rather let the actual coach's who were hired to coach the team and develope a game plan around each opponant, coach whether it involves Thomas or not.
Personally, I'm pretty sure both Shanahan's are better at coaching then me and most likely better at evaluating talent then me..... even though I voice my oppinions occassionally I still will take a step back and bring my self back to reality. Thomas is not doing something right. Why put a player on the field if he's not doing his job correctly? Every one was all about keeping AH off the field and or trading him cause he was not performing to expectations or doing his job but now that he has shown in practice and during games he knows the scheme better and can perform... people either still want him gone or complain about him. Yet Thomas is an angle in all this yet is not seeing the field for a reason.
I'll say it again either it's one big smoke screen by the HC and Shanahan is going to throw Thomas on the field during the second half of the season as a secret weapon and Thomas lights up the NFL or .... maybe... Thomas just is not as good as we all thought. I'm leaning towards the latter. To think otherwise is to believe in a type of conspiracy which I'm sure others will gladly believe in cause they just don't want to believe Thomas might not be as good as they had hoped for.

I trust the FO, but I go back to my point other than Moss at WR & I know it's only been 4 games, who else has been catching any passes with any consistency so it's not like he would be taking receptions away from anybody.
