The one thing about that play though is it did show a certain level of confidence in BB to hold onto the ball there. If they were that worried about BB fumbling I do not think they give him the ball inside the 10 yard line.

He had a real nice return there and he was in on a goal line sweep which was a terrible call. But sooner or later he's going to put one on the ground and we'll never hear from him again.

It's funny everyone keeps saying that. I'm not sure why he is more prone to fumbling than let say Mike Sellers who pretty much puts the ball on the ground once a game.
If someone is going to get their helmet on the ball, it's going to be a fumble regardless of who is holding it.

Even though i agree KS was being a little cute with those 2 plays, im not really upset about it. Obviously it didnt work out and would have been nice if it did, but it shows there is more to our offense. Our running game before today had been bad or unused, and now I feel like teams have to respect our running game but realize we are going to throw it down field, and know that sometimes this little guy that’s real fast is going to come in the game at the most unexpected time. Its not like he went for a fake field goal twice in a row…… It was maybe a not-good decision but I don’t think it was a dumb decision.

Also with this Devin Thomas shopping rumor, how does everyone feel about putting in BB at KR? He would be much less likely to drop/fumble the ball, and i feel like KR are easier to take to the house then PR. However the odds of him getting creamed by some LB or FB would go up too.

We currently have 6 WR's on the team...
Honestly,I would cut Roydell Williams(or trade) and bring Terrence Austin up from the Practice squad.
That way,we keep Banks on Punt returns
Devin Thomas and Austin can share KR duties and slowly get time at WR
while Moss,Armstrong and Galloway stay as our top 3 big play wr's.
(along with cooley and davis)
Moss #1
Armstrong #2
Galloway #3
Banks (PR) #4
Devin Thomas (KR) #5
Terrence Austin #6
That's what I would do if I were coach...
Banks,Thomas and Austin could all share duties as the #4 or #5 WR on the team..
But still keeping them all involved with KR and PR duties...

or.... say Moss when the Rams hit him coughing the ball straight up into the air for an interception. Maybe we need to cut Moss and not hear from him again also.

It's really because of his size. People think as soon as he gets lit up that he'll put the ball on the ground. But ya know, Portis has fumbled, Sellers has fumbled, Cooley has fumbled.....this kid gives us a nice spark! You never know, he might be the deep threat compliment to Santana Moss that the Redskins have been searching for. This is a great opportunity for Banks. Having Galloway and Moss on the team to help mold him into a starter will go a long ways for BB.

I want to see him in the game between the 20s. There aren't many safeties or even CBs in the league who stick with him speed-wise. He has Desean speed if nothing else. Throw him on a fly or a dig route and see the secondary drop their jocks trying to cover him. Maybe he can't run a precise curl or come across the middle but his speed is something that can be used a few times agame to stretch the defense. Is that enough to keep him active?
