My God, this thread has turned into everyone either bitching about the game, or bitching about people bitching about the game. How about we talk about the game?
Why did the Skins changed the approach to the running game in the second half?
How did Haynesworth appear to everyone?
Who are the real Redskins, the team we saw in the first half, or the team we saw in the second?

Dude you are losing focus, those are meaningless topics! :)

I didn't really notice a big change in their approach with the running game.

Haynesworth looked really solid, as did Carter playing with his hand in the dirt and Alexander and Wilson playing in space

Everyone has the NFL figure out right!

How do you figure this?

Accusing me of calling the game meaningless in the sense of it have no relevance in the future is insulting. I already gave what sense I meant by it, but no, it has to be I meaningless totally

It's called being objective. Why the hell should I be blindly happy and acting like we're the Colts or the Pats of the early or mid 2000s when I'm clearly going to be setting myself up for MAJOR disappointment? Hell, we were one Jason Avant drop from being 1-3. That cannot go on for every game for the rest of the season if they really want to compete into January. I already was hyper optimistic during the Zorn years, and that failed to deliver because I was too willing to sweep flaws under the rug.

The "Emperor has no clothes" is a disgusting attitude and I'm not going to be adopting it no matter how much people try to goad me into it. It's not objective, it's delusion.
I had absolutely no idea Kolb was going to come in when I was making my predictions.

So anything less than an assured Superbowl year means you can't be happy?Wow.

Is anyone here proclaiming this was a convincing, proof of greatness win? Of course the emperor has no clothes. Is anyone trying to dress this win up as the beggining of a new championship era? That it confirms we are playoff caliber team? I don't see anyone seriously saying this team is championship caliber. Rather, I see a bunch of hater's saying it doesn't prove anything, we were lucky, Sellers sucks, blah blah blah. Even if all those statements are true (which, btw, I pretty much believe they are) - so the F what?

WE BEAT THE EAGLES!! IN PHILLY!! CHOKE ON THAT EAGLES FANS!!!

Can you be happy we won? Not anything about next week. Or the week after. Just today. The day after we pulled out a win/survived a comeback from a division rival - in their house? That brings you no blind "I'll worry about next week tomorrow" happiness? Life is suffering interrupted by moments of joy my friend - enjoy the interruption. The suffering will begin soon enough.

More than anything I think the Eagles just did a good job at clamping down on the run there for a while.

I think Has is searching for different 'fits' on defense. Fat Al just might be the missing link afterall. As frustrated as I've been with this defense, I think they're starting to get better.

And yes, Carter needs to keep his hand in the dirt where it belongs.

I didn't really see much of a change in approach to the Redskins' running game in the second half. Teams make adjustments and linemen get tired. The Redskins were still able to move the ball in the second half, they just couldn't score points, which did bother me.

I thought Haynesworth played relatively well. He was getting penetration through the line and making tackles. I think Fat Al will continue to improve throughout the season.

It is going to take more than four games for this offense to gel into the offense we hope to see. But, we have already seen flashes of how explosive it can be. The 'skins get Trent Williams back and have two healthy running backs (Portis and torrain,) things will start picking up. Give this team a year or two, and I think you'll see a big difference.

I saw earlier you spoke of the LB adjustments. I missed much of the actual game (you know, the part where they were scoring). Where was Wilson playing? Was it a Alexander on 1st & 2nd downs and Wilson on 3rd type of situation? Really missed it.

Love AC, but, when he is in coverage, it's like the D only has 10 guys on the field.

If you guys haven't heard McNabb's post game locker room speech, please go somewhere and find it. This is the leader we've been missing for so long.
