theres been some discussion of who we could get to be our qb for next yr,of course we'd all like to see ramsey kick ass and give us no worries, the brunell signing I think has screwed us from getting any top name in free agency, personally I wish they would just cut brunell in the offseason{if they can afford the cap hit} and get someone else,I'd rather have Testeverde than Brunell ,but how do ya'll feel about signing Mcmahon to compete with Ramsey? He shouldnt be too expensive unless he starts the rest of the yr for the lions and improves his stock,it seems like were always going to have a qb controversy here anyway, might as well be with 2 young qb's instead of an over the hill veteran and someone else

He's very underated I was hoping he might be available this past offseason to backup Ramsey I alway's felt detroit should give this kid a real chance, but they are committed to Harrington who I thought was a good pick coming out of college but he hasen't panned out so far.

Unless Ramsey totally screws up or Brunnel quits, I don't see the QB position changing this offseason. Last years the QB stuff cost us to much.

Brunell is a lock for one more year. I don't think bringing in another young gunner, allbeit he has happy feet, to compete with Ramsey and Hasselbeck.

Just don't think we can spend the money on any big names, nor do we really need to, unless we just get a crazy great deal. Not saying McMahon is a big name, but I just hope the FA period this year isn't all Redskins signings again. Lets get a consistant team on the field.

Mike McMahon? I am not excited. The Redskins already have a young inexperienced QB. if the Redskins are going to bring someone else in here it better be someone in their prime ready to win next year. My preference though would be to bring in no one and groom Ramsey without him looking over his shoulder at the new shiny offseason QB addition...

If Ramsey isn't the guy then I think Tim Hasselbeck should compete for the job. TH did a decent job in relief last year. I feel Brunell will be in Washington at least through next year.

I'd rather stick with Ramsey. He's started one game this year and people are already scouting his replacement? Let's give him a shot first.

Hasselbeck definitely isn't the answer.

No I think you misunderstood. I said IF PR isn't the answer...didn't mean to say he wasn't.....

It would be nice to give a young guy like McMahon a chance but we have young talent at the QB poistion now. I think that we really need to go out and find the type of QB that seems to work in the league (young, mobile, strong arm) but you just can't blow your wad on the QB position two years in a row. Time for us to see if Ramsey can make it else we just need to take our lumps till the Brunnel cap problem passes.
